From Titus O'Reilly this week, gold as usual :-)

'Clarkson is so good he even offsets having Jeff Kennett at the club.'

The bewildered people wandering around Melbourne this week are Demons supporters who didn’t even know footy could go this late in the season. “But it’s almost Spring; we would usually go down to Portsea this time of year to air the house out.”

Think Dawson will be a very good player for us but last week looked to be lacking confidence and got caught a bit when undecided where a hoof into the forward 50 would have been more dangerous.

Robbo is there to tag, that's why he got the nod.

      Good points ????.

I was hoping to see some movement to check if his groin is ok.

I’m a little suspicious of Marsh being named as an emergency after missing many weeks with a hamstring injury. If he is a late inclusion it could solve the question of who plays on Toby Greene.

I wouldn't read that much into it. The insistence by the AFL that clubs name four emergencies this year has been a waste of time. On several occasions the Swans (and maybe other clubs) have included at least one player who was close to zero chance of playing.

The Swans don't have a lot of other options to choose from. Reid is probably an even less realistic chance of lasting at senior level after a long lay off than Marsh (after a shorter one). Brown, Styles and Bell are all rookies with zero senior experience. They couldn't be expected (even as a last resort emergency) to come in and make their debuts in a cut-throat final. Other than Rohan (whose omission from the emergency list is noteworthy), are there any other players available this week?

I think either Newman or Jones is going to have to take Greene. I can't say I'm that optimistic about their defensive abilities against a player of Greene's quality but there aren't any other obvious options.

Edit: I've just remembered one - COR. Maybe it is somewhat surprising that he hasn't been named as an emergency ahead of Marsh.

Fox would have been another emergency option, even if he was quite poor last week.

The idea of Newman on Jones will keep me up for the two nights. In the current team I think Rampe would be a good matchup for Greene, but then that leaves the question of who will play on Cameron

No surprises re the changes. Hope they both fire.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Would of loved to see Colin O'Riordan in our line up.

He showed skill, pace and poise in his only outing and could of been an option to play on Greene...And run off him.

Not sure who they have planned for this task...Will have to wait and see.
