The two prelims have been nightmarish reminders of the 2014 GF for me.

It's going to be a long flight back. God, I hope none of them drove across the country? Or, ugghh, caught a bus. Actually, do they still have interstate buses?

The first goalless half in a final since 1927.
How demoralising for Dees fans who have travelled to WA so high on hopes and Adrenalin.
I really thought Melbourne had strong momentum and excellent prospects.
Eagles may as well start resting some key players.

Tell me about it , especially if you shout the whole family and they all go shopping as well.

Of course it is. I am not arguing otherwise, nor in fact interested in an argument about which set of fans (Swans 2014, Dees 2018) got hurt the most.

Mine is a standalone comment that I feel very sorry for Demon fans who have flown to Perth, excited after so many years to have an opportunity to play in a GF, to be sitting there watching this.

If I was Melbourne I'd shake hands and admit defeat.

....and an accurate comment it was. Dees fans have a long and miserable trip home ahead of them as well when this nightmare is over......

How much of a difference has Sam Mitchell's coaching made to the Weagles midfield?

Blimey that was awful - But none of the Dees looked well - so out of sorts were they - it didn’t make sense. Did they go out for dinner last night?? Dodgy vindaloo perhaps??
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

There was an interview with Mitchell earlier in the year when they were top of the table. He was asked where the Eagles had improved so far and he half-jokingly replied since they replaxed the old slow blokes in the middle, they’ve been able to turn up the pressure on opposition teams

I'd pies win GF it will be third year in a row a lower ranked Melbourne team has got hosting rights and won.

SEN Radio gave away several pairs of free tickets to the game to Melbourne supporters. I wouldn't blame them if they demanded a refund.

Any mention of it will be taboo in Victoria. Everyone will pretend there is no problem.
