There will be a certain percentage of folk who think Melbourne were hard done by having to go to Perth for a prelim final.

Wow. The least publicised static in AFL.

There seems to be some Victorian based Swans fans who suffer from a conflict of loyalties between their state, the MCG and their footy team. Can't bring themselves to criticise the sacred ground. I like living here but for as a supporter of a non vic team, the insular footy culture is blatant and annoying.Comment

It's just a fact, nothing that I or others say is going to change that.
It's no longer a game, it's a business in the entertainment industry competing for a share of the advertising dollar.
The game was lost when clubs were forced out of their home grounds.spriteComment

Not this Victorian.....and I think most Vic Swans would love to see the GF go to the interstate venue when the i/state team finishes higher on the ladder. Do you actually take the 'conjecture' and 'theories' of a West Sydney resident (Barry) regarding Victorians as fact? There seems to be some Victorian based Swans fans who suffer from a conflict of loyalties between their state, the MCG and their footy team. I'm a Melbourne Swans fan and believe the Grand Final belongs at the MCG. It's a Wembley (or Twickenham) type of entitlement earned through history and suitability to the occasion.
POf course, this doesn't mean that I don't recognise a serious Vic-centricity to the league.Comment
