I just heard that a longtime poster with lots of knowledge, Ian Chapman or Old Roy Boy passed away this morning. He's been living on the South Coast for the past few years so hasn't been to as many games. It's sad to lose such a venerable member of RWO. Vale Ian - you will be missed.

I'm sorry to hear that, I remember ORB posting about having had some health issues and footy helping him through it (or at least offering something that was different from spending time with doctors). I enjoyed his posts and interacting with him here, he struck me as someone who enjoyed the game itself, and had those "this dude gets it" kind of observations that backed up my view of him.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Very sad news.
For the record, Ian joined RWO on 10 March 2004, just 14 months after RWO was created. He remained active for 13 years.
For those who are interested, here are his posts over the years: RWO - RedAndWhiteOnline.com
