Some good signs from our second rung of players, especially Papley and Hewett. Both BOG for the Swans. Also a great game by Aliir.

Kennedy just keeps on giving, absolute champ.

Thurlow is starting to settle in nicely as well imo

However Heeney looked completely off. While I didn't think Mills was as bad as people said he was, there are also serious concerns over him too. Reid and Jack were absolutely useless again and I think our forward line is too tall. I'd be very tempted to drop both Reid and Blakey for Franklin and bring in another small (but not Ronke lol)

Fox anonymous, playing out of position maybe?

Shame about Cunningham, he was putting together a bunch of great games. COR surely gets a go now

In the end it was a strange game. Got dominated but had some amazing passages that give me hope for some upsets later this year. Knowing we can actually score quickly and heavily is exciting and reassuring

Great games from Kennedy, Papley, Hewitt, Allir and the young forwards, but sadly Kieran Jack is a spent force. Seven possessions in those conditions is a damning statistic.
Ok 45 posts in - I accept your wisdom - clearly.

Not maybe. I think we should play players in the 2s where they will play in the seniors and then have confidence to play that role. If someone is ripping it up on ball in the 2s give him game time in that position in the seniors. Or the back line or wherever they are playing well.

Too many players were missing again. It's left to the same guys every week. Heeney and Parker are a worry.

We just can't seem to play more than 1 full quarter of good football.

Really feel for Harry...he has had a consistent year again. You would think that COR will come in.

It was good seeing Buddy and Menzel at the game. Hopefully Buddy is back next week. Although I'm worried what Essendon are going to do to us!

I think if you play well in the 2s in the mid field then you should get mid field time in the seniors. The same goes for all positions. What is the point of ripping it up in the middle then playing forward pocket. All reserves players should be training for the position they would play in the senior team .

Our midfield group getting smashed up left right and centre for contested ball Oh how the mighty have a fallen since days of glory past.

Could of been a lot uglier had the Lions kicked straight.

Some of that umpiring though was utterly baffling in its awfulness.

Dont know about that but perhaps he has been way , way overrated by most . I get the impression that the coaching staff are the ones overating him so he has a job for life.If Jack has why shouldn't Mills.

If Mills is overrated by the coaching staff, what's Reid?

Anyway I've had enough of em. Another fade out after half time. BUT we are young yada yada etc etc.

We need change now. With luck we will have 2-3 wins by about round 17.

When I say change I mean gameplan change. We only have O'Riordan in the reserves who would genuinely improve us at the moment.
Franklin may come in handy, though.

At the game tonight with a surprisingly good number of swans supporters. Watching the game live really emphasized how inefficiently we clear the ball out of defence. Really lacking poise, bomb it to nowhere and playing one short forward seems to be the plan? When we stopped playing the extra in defence and kept some numbers forward, we looked so much better. Speaking of our backs, Mills and Lloyd are turnover kings. They make bad decisions, putting their team mates under so much pressure. I would actually drop them if we had any other options. Our tall defenders Aliir, Melican and Rampe actually did pretty well.
