    papley, hewett and rampe huge

florent, dawson, alliir, blakey, mccartin, lloyd, o'riordan and clarke good (like clarke as a tag, replacing hewett as a tag letting him run free)

    reid and rowbottom anonymous/average

we were good but also lucky with the free kick count and ill definitely savour that. That never happens. But also North never should of got back into that at all, you could see we were so tired by the end

Considering we were without McVeigh, Franklin, Grundy, Kennedy and Smith, our five most experienced players and then Jones going down it was a big effort

Yes, almost too fairly.....for a Swans fan, it's confusing. We won the free kick count 28 - 19. Actually, that means they did gain four or five frees on us in the last 10 minutes or so....

Free kick count amended to 27 - 20 on the AFL match day page.

.....and the Seven guys making a mountain out of a molehill re: jumper hold on Goldstein in the dying seconds. They just can't be impartial....ever.

Second game in a row where biased commentary team trying to take our win from us through dodgy free kicks supposedly missed!

Great win defeating both North and exhaustion. The youngsters are growing into their places and the seniors were outstanding. Colin O'Riordan (love the way that name revolves around your mouth!) is the real deal, can place a kick beautifully.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Longmire said before the game it was a quad injury. Reading between the lines they didn't want to risk him this week so hopefully he will be ok next week. But who knows!

It's the other way around. When the swans lose the liberals win. So I was very worried at the end because the liberals are going to win.

Well done boys to hang on tonight. Looked exhausted and got a bit lucky - but all in all we deserved the win.

Enormous game from George Hewett tonight- just superb. And Papleys run of form is building nicely- I do love watching him play footy.

And gosh I can't wait to watch Mccartin and Blakey develop together- they are going to be the lynchpins of our forward line going forward. Love the way they go about it, especially young Blakey.

Cheer Cheers boys- fabulous day down here in Hobart.

That last ten minutes seemed to last about half an hour. Always enjoyable to win a close one, though. Hopefully, that will further enhance the confidence of the players, for the tough next few weeks: Collingwood, Geelong and West Coast. Uggh.
Many fine performances. In the absence of Kennedy, Hewett did a very good Kennedy impersonation. Parker did plenty of grunt work, and also in the midfield, Clarke largely shut down the dangerous Higgins. Now that he is stringing some games together, Dawson is looking increasingly like a cool-headed veteran. Down back, Aliir was a wall in the first half, while Rampe held the fort late. Up forward, Papley did some wonderful things, and the young duo of McCartin and Blakey, continued to generate optimism.
All round, a good gutsy win. Though sometime this year, I would like to chill out while enjoying a percentage booster.

Well, both were probably free kicks - so guess we’ve escaped 2 bullets now. But then again, frees that should be paid get missed every game - so Lingy et al shouldn’t go on about it.

The swans love giving us heart failure! After being 5 goals up we shouldn't have let them back in it but you could see that we were tiring with one less player to rotate. Plus Heeney had to have a concussion test so for a period we only had 2 on the bench.

What a win for such an inexperienced side. The tackling and pressure was amazing.

Hewett was fantastic. He stepped up with Kennedy out.

Rampe brushed off the controversy and was immense on Brown.

Papley is a little fire cracker. He really lifts the team.

                                Clarke was great on Higgins.

I really hope this week that they don't concentrate on the non free to Goldstein. They are highlighting it a lot tonight.

Negative is obviously Jones's injury. We have no luck.
