Wonder how many times the Reid brothers have played against each other given both have had substantial injury periods? May not be that many.

The free kicks are interesting. Pies get more because the AFL wants them in finals. Or it is close expect a gimme to Pies.

Nichols is umpiring. This isn't good. He's the most Victoria sided umpire on the comp. Lucky we are not playing Dogs as he would gift them the game.

We need to make their mids accountable. I'd suggest we play rough and ready against them. If we maintain the pressure they will stutter. Watch out for Pendlebury elbows. Seems to hit at least one player per game in the face with an elbow. I wonder how accidental they are? The last one broke a bloke's jaw but he still got off free as a bird.

Those stats suggest the first quarter could get ugly...

On the other hand, if we're not too far behind at quarter time, we might be in with a sniff.

Sam Reid has faced Collingwood 6 times, with Ben appearing in 5 of those matches.

You should think about applying to the AFL to write an "IF" column for their website. What you've proposed above has far more scope for pondering than the utterly lame "IFs" dreamed up by a certain journo in today's effort.

Looking forward to tonight. It's a lovely autumn day just now in Sydney (if a little smokey), conditions should be good.

I always enjoy indigenous round too, even if it's tinged with some sadness for obvious reasons in recent years.

I'm reasonably optimistic: we should be up and about after last week's great win, Buddy back and looking to make a statement, Pies missing a couple of good players. They have been a very good team this year though. Could be a really good game.

Brodie Grundy could be the big difference tonight. Hope Sinclair can nullify his influence somewhat tonight, otherwise their mids could smash us in the clearances.

Plus I assume/hope Adam and MickyO will be there to present their medal. Love to see them.

Brodie Grundy could be a late out with a dislocated man bun. Eddie will be doing the coin toss.

I had an eye roll when I saw his name. Margetts isn't that great either.

Nichols is a left wing extremist who I fear will play identity politics tonight by awarding all his preferences to Collingwood.
