Blakey pulled up pretty sore in the last quarter... bless him, he managed to do enough to finish out the game. He assisted in a few goals. He's been brilliant. Sunday was his best.
(I'm a bit biased, he's my sponsor child this year.)
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Human memory is a dodgy thing. Rose's cleaning up of his own mess, was a decisive spoil, while flying across a pack.

And speaking of quirky stats, Clarke had 22 possessions, but for metres gained, his total was zero.

One of my hopes for the rest of the season, is to what sort of havoc Blakey can cause, when he has a twenty possession game.

Great win and clearly the best game we've played this year. This form has been building over the last month and we only lost to Geelong because we couldn't kick straight.

However, I'm wondering about something else...the documentary about Adam Goodes was shown last week in Sydney. I imagine a lot of Swans players and staff would have attended. Amongst other things, the doco highlighted the booing Adam was subjected to by West Coast Eagles fans back in 2015.

I wonder if this galvanised the boys for the game on Sunday - against the West Coast Eagles.

Rose looks like a footballer. He's the sort of player who could grow into senior footy if we keep him in the team.

Yes, there were a number of Swans at the State Theatre on Friday night. My son spotted Parker and JPK on the "red carpet", and I
saw Colless, Harley, Longmire & Blakey in a huddle, plotting and scheming about something no doubt.

He injured his ankle just before half time. Cause we had no one on the bench, he could not get a rest. Great effort from someone so young!

It’s not something that I usually bother with but I decided to review the last two episodes of Footy 360 last night in the hope that they may have had something to say about the Swans game and apparently it didn’t rate a mention at all. Admittedly I just sped through ( and may have missed some comments) looking for any sign of a Swans jumper but only one sighting and that was to discuss the two grub acts that lead to suspensions.
Slightly surprised that a thrashing of the reigning premiere rated no mention at all. It is a national program covering a national competition isn’t it ?

                      Why the surprise? Melbourne wankfest.

I listened to Whateley's interview with King and The Age podcast for Swans content. There was a little bit on each, but it was very thin analysis. Not really worth the effort.

I would have expected more on On The Couch. Anyone catch that?

Robinson had Franklin as his "Monday Hero". That's normally in the opening segment of the show, but since it was a longer show with David King filling in for Robinson for the first half hour, this time it appeared about half way through the show. It was an excuse to show a brief highlights package of Franklin's goals. They also suggested they'd be talking more about the Swans later in the week. They probably won't, but most of the analysis of actual football is pretty shallow, unless it's a club in crisis.

As well as being out of (genuine) contention this year, and as well as being out of state (and thus largely out of mind for the Vic media), we are no longer a club-in-crisis. Even when we've been genuine contenders it's been common for whole weeks to go by without AFL360 even saying the word "Sydney", so it's not surprising to receive limited coverage now.

I agree Barry. I hope he gets a decent run here and stays on next year.

Having just signed up for Kayo, I must say I am very disappointed in the fox footy "footy" shows like AFL360. I thought a pay station would be less vic centric than FTA. I'm in Sydney and paying for this biased rubish?
Probably cancel my subscription before the 2 week trial finishes.

It certainly galvanised me. I was crook all weekend; dragged myself to see The Final Quarter on Saturday night and after being reminded how much I despise WC fans I was determined to go to the game on Sunday despite how hard I knew it would be for me physically. I was not disappointed. I feel like I got some petty revenge by being there to witness such a great win (and then went back home to bed!).

Apparently 'all the current Swans' were in attendance on the Friday night, according to Ian Darling.
