As for myself, I am an unabashed fan of Goodesy and I stand by pretty much everything I know of that he has said or done on or off the field. Delighted to see him get his just and inevitable recognition as a Legend of our club. Good call by liz picking his immediate elevation to Legend status too.
    Fair call

      Yep, fair call BS.

It would just be nice if certain people realise that this site, being a Swans fan site, makes this thread basically a Goodes appreciation thread and as such, kept their posts positive and resisted the temptation of antagonising other posters.....when they are acutely aware that their post will do exactly that.

Tony Morwood yesterday on SEN mentioned something to do with Adam and his wife having a child. Are they? Do they?

I know Adam and Natalie are expecting their first child, I think due about July. She will be captain and star player of the Swans’ AFLW team in 2038 [emoji126]

(Actually I read they don’t know the baby’s gender so I made that up. Natalie is a hockey player though so the sporting genes should be strong.)

It’s more lovely news for Adam who seems to be enjoying his retirement immensely.

He's acted with grace, humility and as a leader. So impressive.

Goodsey and Micky O's "GO" foundation are currently fund raising with a Sherrin Indigenous Art Auction. Check out the balls and their excellent art work that are up for auction here if you are interested (and of course, make a bid if you like what you see and want to own one!):

                Just came across this article.

Last month Adam Goodes was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of South Australia. Is that a first for a Swans player?

Thanks Meg. Good to see Adam recognised at that level.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Found this on youtube from 7 years ago.....Swans players, including Shawry, Jetts, Mal, Gaz, McGlynn and coaches Kenelly and Dew trying to 'zero in' (by kick) on a Coke Zero can perched up high on the side of a goal post. A few get the post and cause the can to fall but who gets the actual can? Goodsey! Then Trent Dennis-Lane does it too, on his second attempt! Funny to watch.....

The above vid lead to this.....and one can only marvel at the legend. Gee, as this vid shows, at his best he was the fastest, most balanced player going around! Poetry in motion.

Adam Goodes and his wife Natalie Croker have welcomed their first child on Wednesday, a daughter named Adelaide. Congrats to the both of them!

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Well that's lovely news. Best wishes to them both. There will be joy ahead and positive energy.
