Suckling (and Kelly!) can consider himself very lucky to be walking away with just a $2k fine, the action was particularly nasty and it was fortunate for all involved that Kelly had bent down a little further than normal to collect the ball.
The Greene thing looks bad- Jed Lamb got a week for making contact to an eye last season, so you'd assume he'll be gone at least next weekend. I can't see him actually make contact to the eye in that footage, so assume they'll ask Bont what happened- no shame if he doesn't stay silent on this, no need for fingers anywhere near someone's eyes.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to see that little grub Greene going straight to tribunal in week one of the finals.
You know you're a grub when the AFL have to make a new rule specifically targeting your using the studs of your boot to rearrange people's faces.
Hope the little thug gets a month.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

I guess we'll see if Bontempelli can give (his late hit on Haynes that fractured Hayne's larynx, and caused Haynes to miss a weekSuckling (and Kelly!) can consider himself very lucky to be walking away with just a $2k fine, the action was particularly nasty and it was fortunate for all involved that Kelly had bent down a little further than normal to collect the ball.

that Bontempelli got off on a ridiculous technicality) but he can't receive. A number of GWS players went after Bontempelli presumably
as some kind of payback for the injury he caused to Haynes in R22.Comment

Agree. Trying to poke a player in the eye is not a joke. Can cause serious damage. Poor, poor Toby just cannot control himself.SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to see that little grub Greene going straight to tribunal in week one of the finals.

What we're dealing with here is the persecution complex. Those who are afflicted by it are blind to the reality of what they are seeing, so the perceived inconsistency or bias of the AFL assumes greater importance than a bloke sticking his fingers into someone's eyes.SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to see that little grub Greene going straight to tribunal in week one of the finals.

Oh, he can control himself all right. That's why he doesn't kick people in the guts any more. If he knows he'll be penalised, he stops doing it. In this case, he made sure the worst of it wasn't picked up by the cameras. He knows exactly what he's doing. He should get weeks if not months, but most likely he'll get a fine or one week at worst.

Or maybe just because they're thugs following the instructions of a thuggish coach. Sometimes the obvious explanation is the right one.I guess we'll see if Bontempelli can give (his late hit on Haynes that fractured Hayne's larynx, and caused Haynes to miss a week

"You shouldn't even be playing, so as soon as we get to an unwinnable position, I'm going to break your jaw"
On the greene case, I wonder if can get suspension credits since they have reversed the studs up rule as soon as a high profile Victorian got done for it.Comment

Who knows what Cameron told them. Pity Longmire didn't saying anything to the Swans when they all sat around watching Mills get beatOh, he can control himself all right. You ask who knows what Cameron said, yet you know what Longmire didn't say. How so?
Thuggery ain't footy.

This is a good point. I brought this up earlier. The lengths that the AFL will go to avoid sanctioning protected species like Reiwoldt & BontempelliI could just imagine mummy saying to bont:
