The cute kick that went straight to Essendon players on numerous occasions today.....fair to say he's not going to enjoy this weeks review.

i can't stand that background music they play when replaying goals just kicked. It cheapens the spectacle & almost drowns out the commentary.

Heeney needs to play out of the square. Too many times he was way up the field when the ball went forward leaving us with little or no option.
I think you’re probably right, but not being at the ground don’t know what he sees up the field. Would love to know if it’s him being cute, or lacking options. If it’s the first, easily fixed and he’s better when he takes the game on.

I think we rate Mills higher than most other clubs. The good clubs often try and isolate him at times he looks a bit soft and he is often to easily pushed aside. When he is allowed to play the spare player he looks ok.

Francis is a bona fide idiot. If we won tonight it would have been entirely courtesy of him! Gifted us three goals by making the same mistake over and over (ridiculous, belated, unnecessary, piss weak pretend aggression). What a knob.

This season is just one long practice match. Hard to get excited about the score of a game.

We miss Naismith. And as I type this Sinclair kicks a goal!
Most of you i respect as far far better judges of AFL than i BUT i really dont understand the hype on Mills. Functional player at best ? Am i missing something ?

Mills is normally a slow starter to the season. You will see a much better player as the season goes on.

I thought Hewett worked his way into the game.

Did I notice that Lloyd played a lot more on the ball.

I haven’t watched it yet, but I thought we had enough talent to put the
                      Bombers away at home .
Disappointed when the result came up on my screen .

Should have won that, very frustrating. Butchered opportunities all day and sloppy defensive mistakes.

Dawson and Heeney unusually fumbly, Blakey's kicking unusually bad, Mills had a shocking first half. All 4 would usually play better.

Midfield three of Parker, Kennedy and Florent were good. The other skipper too. And Lloyd and Cunningham. But a lot of passengers.

                        Bring back full quarters.

That was certainly a reality check. The objective this year may be improvement and development.

So far Florent is the only young player who has taken a step.

I also noticed that we couldn't take a mark inside our forward 50. Frustrating, but I'm lowering my expectations a bit this season (if we can even call it that). I've pitched my tent at Camp Lugwig. This is one long stretch of practice matches.

Disappointing. Played catchup the whole game, never in front, always unlikely to win that scenario.

Credit to them that they kept trying to the end though.

Too many key players a bit off (or a lot off) today. Better for the run hopefully.

We got smashed in the clearances, by one of the leagues poorest clearance teams.
Sinkers was horrible, his tap work was beyond misdirected, it actually seemed undirected.
