Was happy with the improvement in Hayward - liked his work today and was more involved. Still don't reckon he is a defender at all, but very happy to be proven wrong.
Clarke has a huge tank and a real go but has zero footy smarts

Yep I like how he goes about it, works hard. But has the decision making of a 6 year old in Auskick, and too often his disposal skills match it too. A shame as I like how he goes about it. In a good team there could be a role for him, but in a rebuilding team he looks really exposed and his errors are so glaringly obvious.

        Stephens had 11, Stoddart 10, Warner 8

I have the same thoughts on Clarke. I can't see how he fits into the 'new' Swans. He just puts the brakes on our ball movement.

I was disappointed with Warner. He looked anything but the 'manic' player he was touted to be at training. There were many times he just let the play go past him without making an effort.

I don't want to be too critical of young players playing in difficult conditions. It's not the best conditions to show one's talent. As a team, we were about the equal of Richmond, which is not that bad.

But it was an awful spectacle.

Awarded Richmond a couple of charity shots early, then wasn't that bad after that.

His handballing is only marginally better than his kicking

There's a few who seemingly have a problem with even the thought of losing.

The upside of the season is that we've solved the problem of the lack of a NEAFL competition, especially with the hubs. The AFL is the new NEAFL. Or maybe we can rebrand the league the NEWFL.
                        The WTFL?

Re the naysayers, sure, we are struggling.

                          But we are without:

                          * at least six best 22
                          * nine players over 193cm
                          * our three starting tall forwards

And we played nine players with 30 games or less.

Do we really think it’s a failure to inject games into the next generation of players?

As I’m not sure the alternative.

No one is seriously blaming the umpires.

That doesn't mean that Stevic hasn't had it in for us for a long time for whatever reason. He did his best in 2012 to bend us over and help the Wees and Poos over the line, and was part of the mob that had its way in the 2016 decider as well to gift the premiership to the Fairypuppies. He is a @@@@e umpire.

I think he's a good player but not anywhere near good as he's made out to be
