Me too re: the excusing crap umpiring. Crap umpiring is crap umpiring.
We won't win the spoon. Adelaide are a rabble. We are in games - they are getting pumped week in week out.
While it was a comfortable win for the Suns in the end, I was pretty happy with our effort today. Stick Kennedy and Heeney into that middle group and it would of been much closer at the clearances, which was where we really struggled.
That Rankine can play, but is he Akermanis V2 or what? Hate him already hahaha.Comment

He a bit dirty earlier in the game though a couple of times. Looks unbelievably talented however - one to watch."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I hate how the commentators make excuses for really poor umpiring. There were three poor calls in a row that cost us dearly and momentum lost. Why does is happen so often.
I think the spoon is ours this year. Not the best year to get the number 1 draft pick really. SighComment

The only reason we are not winning is because we still have quite a few of our best 22 missing. Some pretty big names. We are lacking in experience.
It's going to take time for youngsters such as Stephens, Warner, ET and Stoddart to both adapt to the pace and start to gel with the team. It's hard to fault the effort and the endeavour. There's been a few poor quarters along the way but we have been competitive in every game (unlike Adelaide). We'll just need some patience to get through this current phase. It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

I recall only one of Stoddart's kicks hitting a target, which was a short chip pass. He seemed to kick the ball blindly straight to the opposition each time. However I would still perserve with him as he got his hands on the ball a bit today. I thought Florent had his poorest game & hope he kicks back into gear next week. Fox had a very commendable game down back. Gould to come in for injured O'Roirdan next week you'd think if Brand is still unavailable.Comment

It appears to me that our young players have been affected by no NEAFL. Both Stephens and Warner tried to be the team player instead of going for goal. If that was the NEAFL they would have had a shot. Part of the learning curve but hopefully the coaches will make it clear to them in the match review. Stephens should have been kicking for goal from 30 metres out.
About Hayward's best game because he put some hardness into his game.
No problem with Stoddart's game apart from not lowering his eyes and having a good look upfield.Comment

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment

Catching up with the result camped in Hay en route to Sunshine Coast to get some warmth for a couple of months, saw or heard nothing of the game but
We are two games and 30% clear of the hapless Crows, they need to win three more than us in the run home, not happening, pick 2 is ours
Can’t see any reason to not persist with the young players, leave them in for stints of several games, gets continuity, builds confidence. Worried about Blakey, maybe Mills to the midfield, bring in Gould in the back half, don’t rush Reid or Buddy.
Happy to let Hawks win next week just to propel them up the ladder into no man’s land of mid draft????Comment

Mills again looked much better in the midfield then down back ( ignoring last week when yes, he was very good but also got to play without a man all game ). Why do they wait until the game is just about gone to make that move ? It’s so frustrating. He’s got a nack for getting hands on the footy at a stoppage when we struggle in that area. He’s not a great kick, he can be slow to pick a good option around goal. On the ball though he seems to relish the relative lack of pressure ( meaning he won’t concede a goal imminently if he stuffs it up ) and usually finds a decent option by hand. He’s a midfielder for Christ’s sake ! His aerial ability will be just as useful around the ground. Start him on the bloody ball !

I think Horse will persist with youth. I’m in favourComment
