Swans chat Changes for Round 10 v Pies

    Out: Blakey, Gray, Ling
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

Be interesting what changes are made but there no doubt will be changes! May see a few more debutantes!

I think Rampe should probably get a break too

Blakey needs a spell. Gray offers little. I would normally keep lewy Taylor in bit considering where we are at, his spot may as well got to trying someone else out.

          Ins: Gould , Wicks/ Foote , Amartey.

Not really like for like but we can throw some magnets around.

Can’t believe no one is mentioning Ryan Clarke. Brings nothing to the table. Elijah Taylor is too soft for AFL standard. You can’t carry these guys when physical pressure is so important in modern footy. A decent ruck would be handy too.

Clarke was terrible I agree. I thought ET showed some good desperation at time’s though, and I would persist with him.

Why are we dumping Ling after two ok games?

Strongly agree with the other two changes. I wouldn't mind finding a way to spell Clarke too but I suspect we're getting a bit young.

My outs would be Elijah Taylor, gray and Blakey. Taylor pulled out of every hard ball get, and missed every decent tackle. He is very talented but now needs to go back to reserves to develop the physical side of his game.

Although it can't be changed for his week, you'd hope he Swans would inquire of he Saints how they wen't from the leagues worst set shot exponents to one of the best during the off season.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

We got smashed at the clearances yesterday. Tackling, besides the 3Q was ineffectual. Disposals were poor. Just too many passengers. Question though is there anyone not playing who can improve things? Also, need to look to the future and give opportunities to those who will be a part of us moving forward. With that in mind, I would like to see Maibaum, Gould, Foote, Amartey and Wicks given an opportunity at some stage this season, if for nothing else, to see if they have enough upside to persist with. For this week, Rampe should be rested - no point suffering a long term injury for no good reason. I'd give Amartey a run over Sinclair - don't think we are ever going to win a flag with him as our ruck. Gray definitely out and Clarke offered nothing yesterday.

                            Out: Rampe Sinclair Gray Clarke
                            In: Maibaum Gould Amartey Stephens
