It gives us a sense of stability. If we can get our senior troops back we have to be a much better team next year.Comment

Yes great news and shows he has faith in our future. Perhaps he broke up with his Melbourne girlfriend? He looked a little frustrated on Sunday with poor delivery by team mates. He is probably trying to take on too much at present but its great to know he will be there going forward.
I was expecting him to say he wanted to go at the end of the season based on media scuttlebutt. Luckily, they got it wrong on this occasion. Strong clubs don't lose many good players. Its hard enough watching Mitchell and Zac Jones playing well elsewhere without seeing another go.
Paps, you beauty!Comment

Coming off a broken leg I know but Mitchell has been very pedestrian this season. Jones however is playing like we knew he could, got dudded there.Comment

Why Tom Papley chose to stay at Sydney
Excerpt:
Papley, whose younger brother Will is vying to be picked up at this year’s NAB AFL Draft, will finish the season on 99 games for the Swans, where both his grandfathers – Max Papley and Jeff Bray – played in the 1960s.
"I had it in my mind a little bit and had a little look. It will be great to get my name up there on the locker," he said.
"There's a long way to go – I need to get through a pre-season and one more game to go this year – but I'd be looking forward to playing my 100th in round one next year and hopefully plenty more."Comment

And I wonder how Will Papley is rated? I kept an eye on his stats last season, when he was playing for Gippsland. He played a few good games early on, but then faded away: so I didn't really consider him at draft time. However, I didn't realise that he was underage. If he's anywhere near as good as Tom, it would be nice to have him at the club.Comment
