He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

And we then used that pick 6 on Gary Rohan ????

        That Dusty fella goes ok.
I believe, not only did we offer the Tigers pick 6 and 14 for pick 3, as he lived in Sydney for a period of time we tried to get him as some sort of zone/academy priority. Unfortunately he hadn't spent enough time in Sydney to qualify.

True. I’ll give us this: we don’t win the flag without Jetta at pick 14. Sensational year

Here's hoping we get our own Dusty at pick 3 this year and then go and win three GF in quick succession.

Mystery surrounds Dusty, cub man from head to toe, disciplinarian, looks like he robs banks but robs the ball and goals from ridiculous positions, can’t form too many sentences but but plays with so much self confidence, loves his players but lives alone .

Oh his Norm Smith oration was three short sentences !!

Clearly a player who lets his football do the talking.

True we picked up some speed with those two.
And then pick up Mumford McGlynn and of course Kennedy through trading as well as Sam Reid in the draft it was one of our better trading years.

Much as I hate them, Richmond have by far the best game plan in the league by about 1000 miles, and they all have complete belief in it

That 2009 draft had so many duds in it, especially the first round, yet produced arguably the 2 best players going around today in Martin and Fyfe.

At the time I thought we did very well to land Rohan and Jetta. Who could have known what a superstar Martin would become? Well our recruiters did, given we offered our 2 first round picks for him. His kicking is beyond extraordinary. And that's only one part of his many talents.

Although 5 years or so ago, I was of the opinion not to go after him, under the no dickheads rule.
IIRC, there was (or perhaps still is) a psychologist at the Tigers, who spent a large amount of time with him and helped him to become a more chilled and well adjusted person. Possibly his father being deported was also helpful?

Yes, now that you've made me check, there's not a huge amount of quality there. Our recruiters probably did really well, to get Rohan, Jetta and Reid.

Rohan had 5 disposals. Only plays well when he his team is on top. Has struggled in big games.

This is The Age rating of Rohan. So perhaps we should forget the debate about whether the Swans misused Gary.

                                Gary Rohan
                                HALFFOWARD
The dashing mid-sized forward had the job of dragging Dylan Grimes out of the play. He did that well. Looked to get busy after the main break but was unable to have an impact.

                                RATING: 4
