All of them. Wasn't a bad performance. Had some nice taps, though a couple of times, he was shifted out of the way by Majak Daw. Will probably be better for the run.

So, if Fox is no good for seniors, and Melican likely to return via the VFL, could this be the week for Gould to get his chance? Or should we be recalling the taller, more experienced, and less exciting Brand?

Gould had a pretty nothing game, his only "highlight" was giving away a silly 50 metre penalty.

As did McDonald with a silly free kick

I'd cut LoganMac some slack, he got 3 or 4 goals from bugger all opportunity. I'd been impressed with Gould's previous 2 games, even suggesting it might be time . . .

On their body of work this season, I'd be just fine with either getting a promotion: especially McDonald.

I was pleased to hear in the injury report posted on the official site today that Ronke will return this weekend. Sam Wicks' form has dipped a little over the last few weeks, seemingly off the back of some goal-kicking yips, so there's some motivation for Ben. It's perhaps the last shot he'll have at it.

Yes Ronke playing for his AFL career in coming weeks. Its hard to fathom how well his career started and how much it has declined since.

VFL will grind to a halt for a while. Probably back to playing scratchies against GWS

Injury. He spent his entire first year on our list injured (and I think the reason he wasn't drafted until a 19 yo may have had injury complications).

By the end of that season in which he debuted, I know he was barely training between games. And he's not had an injury-clear run since.

I rate his ability higher than many others on this forum, but I suspect his body is going to prevent him ever having a sustained AFL career, if it hasn't already put a line through him.

Just checking in on thoughts re Marc Sheathers trajectory

I can see what attracted us to bring him onto the list...........the guy brings intensity / impact and looks like he could develop greater skills and game awareness that could have him dominating his role in VFL by next season.

I have only seen him a few times this year but the is a hardness to his tackling and velocity to his exits.........maybe a project player that has inside mid / forward ear marked for his development?

Is that speculation? I can't see anything about it online

As of yesterday, players at Victorian clubs were asked to essentially "lock down" for a few days and, I understand, clubs told to cease interactions between their AFL and VFL programmes. Given this morning's news that Melbourne (or Victoria?) will go into a broad lock down for at least seven days, it's impossible to see how there won't be some interruption to the VFL competition. It's just a matter of for how long, and that will depend on whether the current outbreak is able to be contained reasonably quickly.

This week's round has been postponed: including the matches that were scheduled outside Victoria.
