I think Buddy will play next week - he look OK at the end of the game so may as well play him.

5 day break for the essendon game so he might miss that.

Campbell showing already the value he can play in that sort of role for the team. Impressive stats, and with him and Dawson both having good games, gives us a lot of impetus out of the back, and ability to move the ball quickly from one end to the other.

Hopefully R B is right for next week as he would be VERY important against richmond but who goes out? Since we look like we are picking on form I think Blakey.

Can Warner go with Dusty ? Run with role and run him to the ground. ‘Smash it’ as he says.

Amazingly I agree with you, did nothing and fumbled a number of times.

In a perverse way for you TB, might be Rowbottom in for Blakey !

Good win. Would have preferred to have had a better last quarter, but there was some high quality play, when the game was on the line in the second and third quarters. The second half clearance numbers may be a bit of a worry. Hopefully, that was more a result of a drop in intensity when the game was won, rather than any deeper issues. Umpiring may have contributed to the discrepancy, as well.

On the umpiring, it was 28-14 against, and it seemed that a lot of those were holding the ball. So, you'd figure from that, that the Crows must've out tackled us. However, we won the tackle count 55-50.

On the positive side, all players made some sort of contribution to the win. McCartin topped the stats for intercept possessions and was excellent in defence. Campbell topped the metres gained stats and was excellent coming out of defence.

In the midfield, Kennedy and Parker were their usual effective selves. While Gulden, Warner and McInerney, all once again showed their potential.

Up forward, it was great to have Buddy back. Looked fit, kicked a few, got through the game still looking fit and should be better for the run.
Although no forward was dominant, the even spread of goal kickers is probably a good sign. Wicks once again topped the stats for pressure acts.

It'll be interesting to see how we go against Richmond. I expect there will be periods of the game, where we will look very good. If there's enough of those periods to constitute a win, then I'll be very optimistic about making the finals.

Buddy and Logan were on the bench for a lot of the last quarter. We may have run out of rotations.

Only used 73 rotations so I think it was about looking after two of our most valuable and not replaceable players once the game was safely in the bag.

Lloyd need to pull his finger out against Richmond
Not damaging/penetrating with his kick, went silly options and gets exposed one on one

Looking at the highlights, I noticed that Papley got crunched by Doedee, with a couple of minutes to go. He wasn't on the bench at the end of the game, so he may be okay, but the contact, which was a flying knee to the ribs, looked like it could have easily broken a rib or two.

I do like the playing of “ohhhh Errol” after his goal.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

No such thing as home ground advantage umpiring when we play at the SCG. Unlike what we witness last night at Geelong in the last minute. Backline does seem to have moments on lapses, maybe it is just adjusting to the new way we are playing now. Thought Blakey was most disappointing today.
