As an aside, and I’m repeating myself a bit here, the Saints recruited to maybe play finals. They do not have a list and are not building one to win flags.

I know they’ve got some injuries right now but look at their list and tell me who oozes All-Australian. Steele yes. On a good day, maybe Marshall, Gresham, Clark and on potential King and Coffield.

But I reckon they’ll prove like North five or so years back. A good side, well coached, that can win a final or two. But never get near a flag.

Wasn't he a first round pick though? Typical GWS recruiting. Fill your team with as many first round picks as you can and hope that brings you success.

Watching Hawks versus Geelong, pretty sure we'd pants both teams. Slow, playing down the boundary and no structure going forward. And man, do Hawthorn players throw it.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

The lack of overlap run and attacking flair is very noticeable. Also, how compressed the players are. About the only times that Geelong have attacked quickly, is when they got a 50.

Wasn't too difficult to lip read Clarkson, after his players bombed a certain goal.

I agree 100%. With the new rules the team that ultimately wins the GF will be the one with the quickest ball movement and quickest all round team.

Just as an aside I think our young players will be subjected to some opposition teams resorting to dubious thuggery type tactics.

Which team do RWO'S think is the most likely to resort to this?

Also watching Geelong v Hawthorn. An absolute shocker of a game.
Seriously, Hawthorn are a long way off, and Geelong needs to improve about 1000% if they’re to mount a title challenge. Yes, they’re missing Dangerfield, but they look terrible today.

                      Definitely Geelong

In fairness to GWS, with the reduced number of rotations it’s not surprising that the Dees ran over them in the last quarter.
But also the scoreboard flattered GWS. They could just as easily been 2.11 and lost by 100 points. Leon has to go.

My guess is, that the outrage level would be similar to, an over-indulged, but unexpectedly deprived toddler, wailing and pounding on the floor of the supermarket chocolate and lolly aisle.
there is no way GWS will fold, but they do have to address their relevance (OR LACK OF) in Sydney. They have done great things in Canberra. They kind of have a norf feel about them, while being successful there was always negative press around mainly about losing player all the time, which hinders growth in supporters. The AFL were partly to blame by cutting their cap too early.

If there's a market on first coach sacked this season, I'm guessing he's the favourite.

Yes, you get a certain vibe, that says Clarkson would be the coach most likely to issue those instructions. But on the other hand, what have North got to lose? We play them very late in the season, and being suspended for the finals is not likely to be an issue.
