He more often than not butchers the ball. The thing that annoys me the most about him is the way he runs past and calls for a handpass from a bloke who is a better kick and decision maker than him. (i.e. most of the team)Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

Chamberlain easily gifted them 2 or maybe even 3 goals. Lucky it wasn't a close gameComment

I thought today showed just how broken the holding the ball rule is in its current implementation. If the rules were properly applied, I reckon there would have been about 25 more free kicks in that game. The amount of times Gold Coast got away with HTB/Incorrect Disposal was mind boggling. Didn't have any impact on the contest as we didn't turn up, but the umpiring today was truly woeful."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.Comment

Everybody butchered the ball to be fair today - our disposal efficiency was just woeful."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

But wow this is why you need the experience. But look at lukosius and Noah Anderson.
Our connection from inside to outside is broken and now the middle to forward is broken.Comment

Thry came to play we didnt, we also had terrible skills when we did have space.
Bad on the inside poor in the outside. Thats why we looked terrible
Then...... injuries didnt help, Rowy is best 18 when fit, he wasnt fit.
Hard to bag a defender but Harry ordinary, probably undersized.
Lloyd doesnt defend so no surprise there but disposal was terrible.
We have injuries so its hard to know who to pick but in full health id like to see others before McKinerney and Harry, he is a toiler but had a solid ceiling.
Warner did a great job tagging but he is are only chance of breaking a line in the midfiled so id make someone else tag.Comment

Warner is excellent at breaking a line in midfield, but as he develops, I hope he can find an ability to know when he can take a split second longer and when he cant, so he can improve his disposal efficiency and reduce the turnovers. That is not meant to be a criticism - its a product of his style and how he plays. And it isn't such an issue when our pressure and performance more broadly is good and we can translate that into pressure around the ball across the park, but when the opposition is allowed to do what they please on the turnover, it can be costly. But he certainly wasn't the only one today guilty of soft turnovers."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Horse said we needed to use Blakey for rotation purposes. But he said there were already two other sore boys in the forward line (I presume Papley and Heeney) so its no wonder the Suns just walked the ball out of there.
If you look at the Fantasy points column on the stats page, we had a couple of blokes off the chart and around half a dozen over 100. Plenty more in the 80s and 90s. Shows how much we butchered the ball.
Horse said good skills come off hardness around the ball and that was a problem today. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

Did a good job tagging after Miller had bolted halfway down the stright in the first quarter lol(though I assume it wasn't the original intent to provide a tag either).

Kennedy and Parks get heaps of inside ball but neither break lines like WarnerComment

I noticed that one. Mills clearly took the mark while the Suns player looked to have dropped the mark. I also noticed a lot of chopping of the arms and head high hits and blocking in marking contests and not even one free kick was paid. But it did not cost us the match. We have our selves to blame.Comment
