I thought so too re: Brand. Harry had a pretty good game on Betts. Hewett’s composure was handy at times.

Good game from Hayward too I thought.

Not convinced about Stephens, Sinkers, McLean.

Good win as I suspected we were too strong over the 4 quarters
Was just about to say how good Heeney and Cunningham were today. Heeney clear BOG for the swans for mine. I feel like Florent as the year wears on is getting increasingly important too - thought he had a good game today too.

Yeh he had some really good moments today brand I thought - McCartin struggled a bit against McKay however at times.

All in all, a game we had to find a way to win, and a game we did find a way to win. Well done boys.
I thought all of our defence played well, especially Cunningham. McCartin struggled to contain McKay, but McKay is pretty well unstoppable. Thankfully he got the yips when it mattered.

Always amusing on Fox Footy that they seem to spend most of the time explaining why Vic teams lose games rather than why the opposition won. ????

You can call me a bitter old man but I will never forgive Carlton for hovering over us like vultures when our club nearly died in the 90s.

Beating that filthy organization is just magnificent!

            Go you wonderful little Cygnets!!!!!!!!

And now suggesting Mills will be suspended for a punch to the Jatz

Hear hear Sandridge. We have long memories for a reason - love beating that filthy club almost more than most other clubs. Love their long stay in nothingness they are in the middle of at the moment too. As the broadcast showed earlier, they have a rump that should be at close to their best, yet they'll be lucky to make finals yet again.

Sinclair was very serviceable. Good luck to him. Even took a contested mark!

Great 4th quarter and well deserved win. It was very frustrating at half time. I thought we looked good, but things weren't falling our way. We were moving the ball as well as any team in that 4th quarter.

                    • Brand did a good job on Casboult who has only a couple of marks and contributed nothing.
                    • Hewett played very well in the 2nd half. Deserves to be in the side if he continues in that vein, but still feel he's better playing in them midfield.
                    • Dawson played well again, but got some bad breaks from the umps.
                    • Heeney in AA form.
                    • Will Hayward has a standard now to live up to. He played and excellent all around game. Good marking, good kicking, 2 goals and tackled well. Also made the right decisions. Maybe he's arrived.
                    • Very solid game from Florent.
                    • First class game from Cunningham.

My thoughts exactly. I will never feel sorry for them. I will wish them the absolute worst until I die.

Yes, it's the same on Seven. They seem to need constant reminding that they are commentating to Australia and not just Victoria.

Heeney superb. Our youth are hyped up but as usual when we need them it is Kennedy, Parker, Mills and Lloyd coming through when we need them.

Franklin getting back to his best. Dawson a supreme athlete . Jmac class. & where are the people saying Cunningham was over rated !

Hayward had a very good game but the rest of the usual suspects werent good enough.

A good win that also showed where our list is at.

Heeney BOG, Parker superb, Mills and Florent and Paps very good.

But will still need another couple of,keys coming through over the next couple of years, particularly in defence. You think about the new generation of young keys. Logan McDonald and McCartin are actually quite short by their standard. They range from Oscar Allan through the Kings to McKay.

Such a hard punch too, the Carlton player crumpled up in agony - oh wait, insufficient force for him to feel anything, just another beat up by VFL commentators
