Aaron Naughton subbed off with concussion in the Dogs game. One high flying forward we now won't have to contend with next week.

The team today just seemed to be perfectly balanced and everyone in their best roles ..loved the Blakey and Dawson roles …I know some of you got those totally tight in having tipped them as possibilities ..
Papley and Heeney were probably our least effective up until some point in the fourth quarter when they provided their goals and flashes of brilliance …they still bring pressure throughout the game anyhow..
And I absolutely love Hewett not just as a tagger but he’s also now so composed with the ball and time and spatial awareness

By least effective I mean producing highlights ..I’m sure they were still applying big pressure and running around creating space for others

Maybe when COVID is vaccinated. I could get you, MCS, TheBloods and JoeyKanga for a beer (or whatever) and discuss how much joy The Swans have brought us.

If Chad is ready he’s in. I cannot believe he’s in Newcastle. Get him ready and fast.

Hard to analyse this game. WC clearly weakened by injury and being a “fair weather” team (I.e play their best in front of home crowds, and are totally disinterested in “hub life” = they are “precious”) did not put up their best effort. Having said that they missed a couple of easy goals in the first quarter that could have changed the pysche of the game generally. Plus, incredibly, I think we got the better of some of the questionable umpiring decisions.
Some of our disposal is still poor.
I thought Dawson played a terrific game. Was he put on the ball? . I thought Bell played a good game also. Good also to see Buddy realise that he cannot compete in the air in that effort where he looked to fly but then pulled out. All of the Eagles went in the air leaving easy goal for Wicks (?) - or was it Mcinerney. _ they look the same to me. Good competitive game from Buddy. Just like Big Bad Bustling Barry the umpires just don’t look after him. They take the view he is a tough guy and he gets nothing . With other forwards or stars they just get touched and a free is given.

That was great wasn't it. Reminded me of that big win against Geelong at the SCG back in 2014. Once in a while the entire team come out blazing, working hard and for each other, relentless for 4 quarters. Yes West Coast were woeful, but few if any would have stopped the Swans today.

I thought Gulden looked great. McInerney too. Dawson back to his confident best. And how good to see the players working for their spots go well: Bell, Fox and a breakout from Amartey. That crashing mark was terrific.

No talk of free kick counts when it's 11 goals 1 at half time is there, you'd think it was an irrelevant statistic

Next week could be very different, but at least they'll have a lot of confidence going in.

                          Rowbottom should’ve played today

Taylor Grey and Ronke are better forwards than him. Clarke is a better mid.

Stephens is no better on current form, but has a much higher ceiling.

Bell was much better today, had a couple of nice moments, but also had a few shockers. They just weren’t as noticeable in a 93 point win. His pressure was good today, but hasn’t been any better than average in previous games

I’ll be happy if he proves me wrong and really comes on as a player. I just don’t see it at the moment, does not get enough of the pill.

I hope Nike is not a sponsor. I am not impressed with the slave child labour they use.

You’re spot on. I was sitting next to them and had a bit of a chat after the game. They were all his school mates from Mentone. This is the first game they were all able to get together and cheer him on.

I reckon they pumped him up a bit, which was great. They also got the crowd going. Good group of mates, I reckon.

Heeney kicked a few junk time goals. Is horribly out of form and needs to play on ball.
