He's probably more like 85kg these days which is the equivalent of 95kg if you account for not having shoulders.

Website has him 83kg- looks closer to 73 to me. Wish he would hurry up and develop into more like a goanna!

Skinny KPDs seem to be all the rage. Dylan Grimes was thinner than Blakey at the same age, and he's doing okay. Plenty of others like Haynes and Taylor at GWS and Ridley at Essendon. Blakey will reach 90ks + in a year or 2.

JUH debuting for the Umpires favourite Throwers.

Our additions as expected, bench will be JPK, Wicks, Blakey and Rowbottom you'd expect.

Hope we haven't got any of the worse umpires like Chamberpot or Stevic or it will be a dreadful day :-(

Why would we change what worked last week?

Different team, different matchups. I just liked the possibility to test Blakey as a one on one defender against a rookie player, albeit a highly rated one. Their small forwards are very dangerous and require experienced defenders. If Blakey plays in defence, then he has to defend, and JUH seems a best match.

I agree that Blakey is an option for JUH, or Fox

Will need to block the leading into zone as they have serious leg speed.

Better to keep the ball in our forward half, and no need to worry..

Another 8 point game in my opinion. Win this and happy to put the gold star in one of the corners for the season.

My thoughts exactly. Swans starting to looking good then its time for Chamberpot or Stevic to hand out more of their unbias umpiring. !!! LOL !!

I'm not sure what you mean about the gold star in the corner but I have to cavil about the 8 point game. We're not going to be contending with them for ladder position. It's four points for us but taking four points off them doesn't really help us. Unlike with West Coast.

If we beat the Dogs it'd be the highlight of the season hands-down. No matter what happens with the rest of the year I'd be happy. Not only do I think they're probably the best team in the comp, but god I hate them, they get a free ride with the umpires every single week it's ridiculous, not to mention all the chucking, the 2016 GF and media hype train

Had Stevic last week. But we won so no one talked about it

I'm good with no changes this week, unless anyone has an injury that would benefit from rest.

I've watched JUH play in the VFL. He's been okay but Schache (should we have a look at him?) has looked better and is unlucky not to get a run. I suspect the dogs are gifting him a match. I would put Rampe on him, hopefully to give him a football lesson.

Footscray have been absolutely dominant in the VFL. Given he is a key forward in this side, along with his abundant talent, he should be killing it at the moment. I wonder if his high profile girlfriend is distracting him from his footy?

Maybe he should spend less time on it given his last start was a 1 goal, 6 disposal and 2 mark game v North.

No. Please do not let this get any momentum here. We should not trade for Schache.

Blakey won't go to JUH. They have a really short forward line. It's Josh Bruce and JUH, and then no one over 6ft except for when Tim English floats forward. Fox to JUH and then McCartin and Rampe to swap between Bruce and a resting English.

We can really stretch them this week. Cordy, Williams and Keith will be required to take Amartey, Buddy and Hayward for height. Duryea to Papley is a good situation for us. Wicks will do a defensive job on Caleb Daniel, and I really look forward to watching that.
That then leaves Bailey Dale for Heeney. We really need to expose that match up.

We've got them we'll covered at both ends - but their middle is so elite. I'd be bringing in Rowbottom for his defensive work at contests. Probably get him to stay tight on Bailey Smith.
Do we send Hewett to Bont, MacRae or Libba? All 3 hurt in really different ways.
I don't think Libba can be stopped at the clearance. And Bont is more damaging with his possessions, so I'd send Hewett to him. And then back Kennedy and Parker to meet Libba at the coal face.

Would have been a great game to have had Chad back in for.
