Found it, the Dees sent Harmes to Liberatore and kept him to 4 clearances, down significantly on his average of 8.6

I guess it also helps to have Oliver winning his own share as well
The Demons tagged Libba out of the game, which dried up the Doggies supply at the source. It would make a lot of sense to send Georgie Hewett to him, perfect opponent.

They also put a huge amount of pressure on the Doggies defenders when they had the ball, and blocked up the exits. I've never seen Caleb Daniel et al turn over the ball so much.

Let's hope Longmire|Pyke were watching that game!

Brett Kirk lacked talent but he was as tough as nails, always gave 100% and played his role without fail. He eventually became indispensable and was the epitome of "The Bloods" culture.

I see some similarities in Bell and just maybe his career might follow a similar path to Captain Kirk.

Just finished watching the replay and Bell was really, really good…and in a variety of ways. One clamber I think…but the McCartin had four consecutive kicks marked uncontested by Port.

Needs to consolidate his place in the team first . Has got the right qualities - his body language is that of a player who wants every ball to be his , he throws himself at every ball and every man with gusto , probably too much as he spends it before he's earned it a bit too often , but that can be taught

He seems like a popular character with the players too so if he can match his personality with ability as Chad, Jmac , Gulden etc have done then who knows where he can go

Frustration with Bell is that he has awesome skill set , hes quick and hard and covers huge ground at great speed but that all matters for nothing when he cant get his hands on the thing . Thats been his problem to date , 15 against WCE is a great start to hopefully something more

If they realise they cannot have any influence on the game then they will just umpire in a normal manner. Should it be close game then they will adjust their standards.

Go watch the replay from the weekend. Hickey took Nic Nat high, and then kicked in danger of Shuey in the opening 5 seconds. Both legitimate frees not paid against us.
We need to move on from this conspiracies and focus on the footy.

Unfortunately I wouldn't be buying Bell stock the same way I'd be buying JMac, Warner, RB etc. Just don't see the trait that's going to separate him from an opponent in a game.

That’s all very clear and I totally agree …obviously the captain comment was for a very long long way down the line presuming he gets there …it’s all about experience and hopefully development in those areas you’ve pointed out
I just hope he get there ..I like what he brings to the table and it’s of course a given that he needs to progress over time ..
I do know that Longmire values his qualities ..I don’t know which interview I was listening to with one of the players ..I don’t know if it was the jmac one ..just a very clear impression that as skill develops for every player and they’re all at different stages of rounding out their games and finding their roles ..one thing that’s not negotiable are the qualities of pressure and team roles
I think we’re on the same page and wish for the rest to come

I agree he has potential but i never saw him as being overly fast? He's got a massive tank for sure but speed is not an attribute that I've associated with him so far.
