Think big Tom worked his way back into it after being outplayed earlier.

      Guess it’s 1-all, then?

Heeney is a gem. Blakey and Rampe very good down back. Kennedy, Parker and Gulden good too. Reid did some nice things that quarter. The forward line a bit dysfunctional despite us sneaking ahead.

And personally, I think Bud will be having one week off. That’s an act the AFL rightly dislikes. And as someone who thinks the standard should lean more towards the act than the outcome, I can’t disagree.

Just watched a replay of the Buddy incident and I am struggling to see 'elbow' contact. It looked rough and high but I think he was actually attempting to contact the ball to spoil but got it a little wrong with so much momentum. Will be interesting to see if the MRP treats him like the umpires treat him or if they look at it in the same way they look at all other incidents.

Feels like we didn’t get out of second gear that quarter so good we are winning.

Hayward has the yips big time!

Liking Heeneys game and the fact he seems to be playing mid/fwd.

Goulden is a GUN! Blakey rejuvenated.

I feel bad for Bud. Stupid to throw the elbow like that I know, but he is ragged, scragged and tagged at every contest, and very rarely gets frees. I understand his frustration.

Shut up Dermott. One of the dirtiest players ever.

I reckon a week or 2, tho’, unfortunately. Really dumb.

Here we go Dermott Brereton is pontificating too & John Ralph is a wannabe - so whilst Bud probably deserves 1 week out, they’ll try to push for more. The best way Bud can get back on track - kick a bag in the second half.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

We are getting dominated in the stoppages but still getting plenty of possession.
One stat that I was impressed by is tackles in forward 50 unbelievably we are 15-1 up in that.

From the way Fox Footy commentators are going on about the incident it must be right up with with O'Dea on Greening.

Finally felt like we managed to get some momentum going our way towards the end of that quarter. Been a grind and a half so far.

Blakey was very good in that quarter again. Certainly has a bit of 'headless chicken/kamikaze leo barry' about him, but willingness to take on the game very important to get some movement going.

Lovely mark from Heeney too - poor Freo player must have known what was coming!

Totally agree.....but on the other hand, I always worry when Bud takes an 'aggression' pill.....because he often ends up injuring himself as well as the opposition player.

Hayward is a good forward and needs to play there more, not so good in the middle.
Heeney is on his game, and good to see Sam Reid doing his stuff.
Youngsters are generally going well too.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

When you see the way Charlie Dixon gets looked after by the umpires, you can see Buddy's frustration. You will likely get a week for that, but it should be no more.
