Kennedy Parker Heeney Dawson McCartin Rampe very good

Bell belongs in this team , has great attack . Florent showed some clever moments , still doesnt get enough of it. Fox under rated, Hickey had a good second half , Gulden's work rate is excellent but thought his disposal was a bit off , wasnt hitting targets as cleanly as he usually does , thats OK not every game will be perfect

    Solid win

ABC radio votes from Shane Woewodin: Heeney 3 votes; Kennedy 2; Parker 1. Seems fair enough.

I’m yet to be convinced that Stephens is ready (either on or off the field) to be thrown in at this point in time. Chad should come in when fit. Squizzy? Not sure.

Ronke rarely sighted today & maybe Campbell should get another crack.

Bell and Wicks are vying for a spot - imho, Bell has an edge in effort & 1%ers - but Wicks the edge in attack. Neither certain starters in full strength team, but I dunno…

Buddy could benefit from a rest, so a week off will not be a disaster (unless the Vic press get involved and any suspension is longer than warranted) - unfortunately I always like to see him up against the bombers.

Do I ever agree with this. In less than a season it's become a blight on the game. It's quite simple. Just stand precisely where the mark was taken and don't move.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over this. Analogies invariably add colour. Though I might have gone with his post-election campaign. A new and improved version of swiss cheese.

We have to get these centre clearances to at least 50/50. Even with Fyfe and Walters off they kept getting the ball out.

Our kicking accuracy was not as good this week and we didn't go as much through the midfield.

Mills and Cunningham will be welcome returns next week.

I thought for much of the game our sharpness was down as was our running to space. We did enough against a depleted team.

He finds space and for a big man he is quite nimble

Exactly....and not where the player who marked it ends up running to in slowing down after the mark. All the opposition player has to do is stand still like he's being a good boy (a metre or two over the mark!) and have the umpire think 'good boy, stay there'. The umpires fall for it every time.....it's exasperating. Also, they have no idea when it comes to setting the correct angle for the kick at goal....another bug bear of mine. It's not good enough in a top level 'professional' sporting league.

Weve missed Mills early in matches being a presence in there to stop opponents getting the run on . Happened 2 weeks in a row now , Hewett is a good player and i prefer him in the midfield but he isnt that presence that Mills is

Some good points. We played a lot of lazy football today. Not sure if its due to an intense few weeks. Bringing in Mills, Cunningham, Warner and Maybe McDonald or McClean would be some good ins next week.

We lifted in the second and third quarters when required, otherwise a very lacklustre effort against an injury hit Freo.

I thought Heeney was superb, as were JPK and Parker. George was pretty steady today again. No coincidence that we gained the ascendency when Hickey started to gain influence at the stoppages. He's so important for us and we need him to stay fit.

Not sure what Ronke was doing today. His ToG was 60% for only 4 possessions and no tackles. Stephens or Logan would've been better options in hindsight.

I'd say Buddy is out for a week. On first thought, Amartey and Logan in for Buddy and Ronke.

They got 2.5 times the frees Dees got last night. It was an umpiring Throw Dogs Love Fest. It was a disgrace. The commentators are mostly from Melbourne. They all support Melbourne teams. So the barrack for any Melbourne team.
