Kennedy Parker Heeney Dawson McCartin Rampe very good
Bell belongs in this team , has great attack . Florent showed some clever moments , still doesnt get enough of it. Fox under rated, Hickey had a good second half , Gulden's work rate is excellent but thought his disposal was a bit off , wasnt hitting targets as cleanly as he usually does , thats OK not every game will be perfect
Solid win
Starting to look a bit tired after a very tough month - but 4 wins from the last 4 is way more than we were expecting (well, more than I was expecting).
A few to come back in following the Rugby debacle, so hopefully
we’re in decent shape to bring some fresh legs in.Comment

Nice summary. Fox has been improving steadily from that hand injury which seemed to be worrying him earlier in the year. We have a number in that ‘underrated’ category. Hewett too.

Team can only get better , Reid will be better for the run and Mills Harry and Chad are huge insComment

Blakey continues to look great off half back. Great kicking, run and marking.
Is there any update on Reid? Did he get through.
Nice inclusions in Mills and Cunningham next week,
Is Chad playing in the reserves yet?
Could be Buddy and Reid out next week. We’ll probably go in with Amartey and McDonald.Comment

Warner didn't play VFL, so still a couple of weeks away, at least.
Campbell and Melican both played, so should be available.
Ryan Clarke led all players with 35 disposals.
Pierce Roseby had 29 possession playing on loan to Essendon. Looks in line for an academy selection this year. McCartin kicked 3 goals for Essendon.Comment

Good solid win against a motivated opposition - once again, great ability to switch up our game to another level.
Freo dead unlucky to lose Fyfe and Walters (that said, Fyfe was clearly struggling in last week's game; it was obviously a gamble to go in with him).
Loved Jake Lloyd's game - thought he was fabulous defensively and offensively. Blakey a fire-starter for us in Q2 just as he was last week; goodness, he's turning his season around.Comment

Gulden - was terrific, especially early on when we were scratching around. I don't know how others can question his disposal. I thought he was composed and very impressive again and the stats back this up (78% disposal efficiency, 9 contested possessions, 6 score involvements, 5 tackles, 4 clearances). The arbitrary notion that a player who misses 5 games can't win the Rising Star should be forgotten as I think Gulden has been the most influential young player in the league.
Heeney - great to see him back in form. I really love his more hybrid role between the wing and forward. Next step would be to play him at centre bounce more often.
Fox - has put together a string of very strong, reliable games. His ability to keep running to get to a loose ball or make a spoil is very handy.
Bell - had one of his better games and had some nice moments. His effort can never be questioned but I do think it is a worry when a 10 possession, 2 tackle game is one of your best. I just haven't seen the potential for him to be ever ranked as one of the Swans "bests" for a game.
Ronke - I don't know what role he was given but I hardly noticed him. He didn't stuff anything up but was really non-existent. Maybe I'm being harsh and will keep a closer eye on the replay but at first thought, Stephens must be doing a lot wrong to have been displaced by Ben.
Can’t we just enjoy his ability to play a game like today…you can see he’s getting confidence and feeling more at home Im this team
And he puts on so much pressure without the ball as well as the impact of his actual possessions and tackles ..that’s his tile in the teamComment

I hope you're right but I fear that much like a jury who are instructed "the jury will ignore that last testimony", the MRP will have the Vic-biased commentators 'thoughts' on the incident fresh in their minds and while they should rightly ignore it.....much like a jury, they may not.Comment

What a wonderful game! You'd think I'd be used to saying that after how many great performances we have had - but I'm not!! It is a constantly new and refreshing thrill to watch this exciting new Swans team showing what they are made of!!
Very interesting few weeks coming up with selection. No sign of "The Chad" at reserves level means he might still be a few weeks away. Curious. There are only four weeks left of the season and JL will not want to be tinkering with his line-up too much at this stage of the season! Hewett has come alive the second half of this year & Mills also to return - there is the very real possibility that young lads like The Chad, Rowy and Campbell don't get to crack this team which is en route to finals action!! AND Reid has returned from injury at the right time which means McD, Amartey and Mclean might also struggle! Who would've thought - these boys who were such a key part of our barn-storming start to the campaign might not feature at the business end of it!!
A shame for them individually I'm sure of it, but the last month has shown how key our experienced core is to this team's success! Buddy, Isaac and Paps are such great leaders in the fwd line, Joey and Parker have led this midfield beautifully and George has climbed on board for the ride, and Lloyd and Ramps down back are peaking at the right time! Our young cygnets might be waiting on the sidelines come September if any injuries occur - God forbid! - otherwise they will get a first-hand lesson from our experienced superstars on what is required to get to finals footy!! A great motivation for them all to come back another pre-season stronger and tougher and fitter!
CHEER CHEER!Comment

Sorry for the shoddy spelling
Why are we so quick to write players off …Roble first gane back
Let’s see we wrote Anartey , Blakey off at least for a while thereComment

In the post match press conference, Horse mentioned that Reid was managed rather than injured when he did not play the last few minutes of the match and do far it was expected that all those played today and those in isolation would all be available for selection for the next game.(As expected, he would not give any specific views on Buddy possible suspension.)Comment

I'd try and squeeze Errol in there somewhere. He (and Heeney) were the liveliest two in the first quarter when most of the team was sluggish. And though other players subsequently woke up, he kept going. I think it was his best game yet in his young career.Comment

I’m a big fan of both Chad and Campbell but not seeing easy spots for them.
Harry and Mills returning next week likely push Ronke and possibly Rowbottom out. Young James did some nice things but his pure run still seems affected by his earlier injury. I wonder how much training he’s doing.
Then whose spot is up for grabs for the two above? They’re better/going to be better footballers than Bell or Wicks, but they’re not really right for the pressure forward roles, and Horse seems to like having two of those on the field.
Quite the dilemma, particularly if the Chad isn’t fit soon.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment
