Seemed like a much smarter take on it than Dermie. Too many elbows to his thick head there.

TBH, maybe a week off would not be a terrible outcome.

We will see if the committee takes that into consideration when grading the incident. It will either be a significant fine or a week off. If he's out, one of the Macs can take his place.

As I said earlier - and I have watched it again - the ball switch is reasonable caution as he prepares to hit the ground.

Does anyone else remember the elbow Chris Judd swung into Matthew Pavlich? Couldn’t allow the Brownlow favourite, and eventual 2010 winner, to be rubbed out though. The AFL is not known for consistency, or fairness.
Having said that, Buddy should get a week, and a “rest” won’t hurt him as we approach the finals.

Agree. He deserves a week for the flying elbow and a week's rest will do him no harm and give Mcdonald
or McClean a needed hit out.

Is it wrong to be happy he was suspended for a week ? To be honest it would have been more preferable to have this happen in a couple of weeks but I don’t think it’s going to have as much impact as previous absences.

I’d like to know how Buddy’s hit is graded ‘medium’ impact and Shuey ‘low’. This seems like the grading was used to get the outcome.

The Swans won’t appeal with the early plea in place as it’s not worth the risk. [Edit: or is it one week either way - in which case, maybe they would.]

A week off is not so bad given he hasn't had a 'rest' for a while. He seems to have played many more games than I was expecting given the early conservative predictions for his year.

Hard to keep training in a hotel room with 2 little kids, even if it were allowed, which I'm sure it's not.
