I've quite enjoyed the bout of (in my opinion only) irrational thought patterns to add as an extra delight on to a good night of seeing the Cats choke again in a final!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

What does having a personal connection to anything have to do with it?? I have zero connection to the story, but my opinion is more than enough of the facts of the story are publicly known to allow any person to form their reasonable opinion of it.
Your opinion is that he deserves empathy. Mine is that he, nor Carey, deserve any.
The difference is nowhere have I tried to preach to suggest that one view or the other is wrong.
I will disagree with your position, and argue against it - but I've never said its wrong. Your the one that always thinks your view is the 'correct' one, and its your mission to somehow convert others to your thinking.
Drop that attitude more broadly, and you'll find far less pushback on most of your posts. You are just another random username on the internet, not a higher being.Comment

I'm always robust in my opinion, always willing to disagree, and to push back when I think something is crap. But that 'tis the point of football forums to some degree - and like anyone else, I love the swans, love talking footy, and having a good yarn!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

My wife and therapist have been coaching me to be more empathetic. I’m trying not to judge people and trying to be more open.Comment

We are aligned MCS. I reckon you would be hilarious to listen to at the bar. Morrison, Gladys, business figures you would shred them all.

How about those @@@@ cats hey!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Lol I am happy to shred almost every politician of pretty much every ilk for about the last 30 years. Useless the whole lot of them - labor, liberal, green, crazy loopy idiots etc. There are few I would ever stand up and defend - and when I would, its because (as always in my opinion) they have shown themselves to be proper statesmen in politics for the right reasons, not the wrong reasons. Anyway, far too much derailing of this thread!

As for me, I’m now too drunk to absorb Friday Night Lights. That’s no good.Comment

What a waste of time the last bit of RWO has been. I would have hoped for some insights into the game, and how the Swans might be effected into the (hoped for) future. Empathy discussions doesn't do it for me, and what I want from RWO
Maybe there should be a rule that only 2 posts should be allowed every day from any poster!Comment

How woeful were the Cats last night. Port were good, their pressure was high, but you wonder how much of a true test it is when the other side is so off.
I enjoyed the post-game interview with Allir, good to see him enjoying his football and playing well. He had a huge first quarter.
Hoping for better contests in the other finals (except ours where a steam-roller victory to us will be fine).Comment
