I hate to compliment the Poodles in any way, shape or form but that was a cracking first quarter of football! All out attack from both teams with, fortunately, the Lions gaining the ascendancy.
Special mention of the umpires who found 8 free kicks against the Bulldogs in just one quarter! Where were those guys in 2016??

Yes, i went early praising the umps for finding 8 frees against the Poodles in the first quarter! They evened it up well and truly in the second quarter.
Just before half time, a Poodle got away with a two handed throw that any NRL player would've been proud of!!
