Agreed, Ludwig. Very similar to what we received for George. I recently read George is on $450k per year for 4 years at Carlton. That seems very reasonable given how well he is playing for them. I would think that's the sort of money Lloyd is worth too.Comment

Not too concerned if he decides to leave. He has a few things going for him but precise, penetrating kicking is not one of them. You mentioned in the past that you can see him on the wing: I agree with that as I see him as a weak link in our defence. A premiership team is built with a rebounding backline that gives the forwards an advantage, and Lloydy doesn’t do that. I believe when we get our backline sorted we have forwards capable of putting winning scores on the board. Of course, I’m not underestimating the strength of the midfield but our young guys like JMac, Chad, Errol and Braeden will prove to be good enough. Then there is RB of course!Comment

Latest on the mid-season rookie draft: "Nominations for the mid-season draft will open on Monday, May 9 and close on Tuesday, May 24": Inside Trading: Power star Karl Amon in sights of Victorian rivals, reborn Docker Blake Acres to start talks (afl.com.au).
This article also notes that we may have interest in former Hawk Ollie Hanrahan who is playing in the VFL for Werribee. I can see a case for Hanrahan - he is a plug and play option that gives us a bit of extra depth in the mids. I'm not that familiar with Hanrahan but, from the description in the article, he would be competing with Sheldrick and Roberts and I think they both show great promise and deserve to be invested in. At the least Hanrahan would strengthen our reserves side (which is useful for developing all of the side except for the player who's spot he takes), but that alone isn't be a good reason to sign him.
I look forward to a better preview of the mid-season draft crop once the nominations are in.All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

Hanrahan - why was he delisted from a rebuilding Hawthorn? Wasn't considered in their best 36 going forward.
We'll probably take one in the MSD on 12th? June but at this stage we won't have a pick before 12/13'ish. Teams like WCE, Norf, Essendon get the cream.Comment

Lukosius is not having a great season and didn't have a good game against us this week, but I'm still keen on targeting him for trade-in. The good thing about his poor form is that it should make him cheaper to acquire. He remains a versatile, quality KPP with a lot of upside. I still think that with the SA teams to compete against (especially the Crows) we'll need to ready to give up the Demons' first rounder. Although if there are no end-of-first round compo picks then that could become a very valuable pick... anyway a lot of water to go under the bridge between now and then and I may just be wasting my breath if the Swans or JL himself are uninterested in the trade. All opinions are not equal. No wonder Richmond are willing to give him their blessing to move on, that's a massive chunk of salary cap for a bloke whose taken mental health leaveComment

I would give Richmond the Melbourne First Rounder, Jake Lloyd and James Rowbottom (BT could help with that as a former Richmond player).
Imagine a midfield of Mills, Chad and Dusty.
TB loves Dusty so I’ll defer to his judgment.Comment

Get him here. Dusty would love Bondi and Bondi would love him. Needs to take a good pay cut.
