Ideally, with our emphasis on player flexibility, he can play predominantly as a winger, but roll through some centre clearances now and then.

I suspect Stephens has the same potential - we just didn't get the chance to witness it last year.
Stephens played inside against Norf and was really good. JMac played outside and was sensational. Leave them where they played against Norf

Football's coming home to the grand old lady of Australian sport. They'll be singing...

        It's coming home
        It's coming home
        It's coming
        Football's coming home

        It's coming home
        It's coming home
        It's coming
        Football's coming home

        It's coming home
        It's coming home
        It's coming
        Football's coming home

        It's coming home
        It's coming home
        It's coming
        Football's coming home

Everyone seems to know the score
        They've seen it all before
        They just know
        They're so sure

The Swannies are gonna throw it away
        Gonna blow it away
But I know they can play
        'Cause I remember

        Opera house on a shirt
        Jude Bolton still gleaming
        72 years of hurt
        Never stopped me dreaming

So many jokes, so many sneers
        But all those oh-so-nears
        Wear you down
        Through the years

But I still see that tackle by Hall
        And when Leo Barry soared
        Jolly belting the ball
        And Davis Dancing

        Opera house on a shirt
        Paul Roos still gleaming
        72 years of hurt
        Never stopped me dreaming

        (What a save, the sniederman
(Good old South, Swans that couldn't play football)
(Swans have got it in the bag)
I know that was then but it could be again

        It's coming home
        It's coming
        Football's coming home

        It's coming home
        It's coming home
        It's coming
Football's coming home (Swans has done it)

        It's coming home
        It's coming home
        It's coming
        Football's coming home

        It's coming home
        It's coming home
        It's coming
        Football's coming home

Opera house on a shirt (it's coming home, it's coming)
Barry Hall still gleaming (football's coming home, it's coming home)
72 years of hurt (it's coming home, it's coming)
Never stopped me dreaming (football's coming home)

Opera house on a shirt (it's coming home, it's coming)
Adam Goodes still gleaming (football's coming home, it's coming home)
72 years of hurt (it's coming home, it's coming)
Never stopped me dreaming (football's coming home)

A swan on a shirt (it's coming home, it's coming)
Brett Kirk still gleaming (football's coming home, it's coming home)
Thirty years of hurt (it's coming home, it's coming)
Never stopped me dreaming (football's coming home)

Maybe the players can share houses with other young people outside the football industry. It may help them get out of the football bubble. Sharing houses with nurses or young doctors would be perfect. They’re tested every day, work hard and can be a lot of fun.
Are you a logistical wizard BS? If so, offer the Swans your services because I guarantee you, no one at the Swans would be volunteering for this job even if they thought it was a good idea....which they wouldn't. Your concept would increase the 'go home' factor by heaps. Too much isolation and upheaval....the players would not be happy with this situation at all. The lure of home and a more settled life would be too strong.

Move on.....and please don't 'double down' on this folly just because you have been rightly challenged on it.

I see they're painting The Swans as elites and themselves as working class. What an insult. The rest is quite puerile actually.

Bell can also come in. He is a decent replacement.

Well said Liz. I am a long time passionate Swans supporter but need to keep things in proportion.

I was also a bit nervous about the concussion issues, and partly because I saw a close mate's son have his sporting career derailed by concussion, and the ongoing effects ripple through the poor kid's entire life. But on that count, I guess I knew the Swans take player welfare seriously so was sure the right decision would be made.

Anyway, let's hope he gets a decent run at it. He's certainly got talent.
I was with you. I was definitely rooting for him, but had absolutely no expectations. This is a spectacular achievement and it has the potential to be transformative for the Swans.

So Chad misses as has been rumoured and Lloyd is the other notable missing name. The absence of Ladhams from the squad and the emergencies and the presence of Sinclair on the emergencies might suggest Ladhams is also under covid protocols.

Interesting that Sinclair has been selected as an emerg. and Ladhams is nowhere to be seen. Perhaps previous reports about lack of fitness are correct

And Sheldrick to debut. Didn't see that coming.

Like J-Mac and Campbell off half back. Maybe get Blakey in there as well and the ball will zing out of the back half.

Who plays as the emergency (23rd player)? Reid is listed first but I'm not sure that matters. My choice out of the emergencies picked would be O'Riordan.
