He's only got 32 to go, until he passes Ablett. Surely that's worth something? Perhaps a partial ground invasion? Only kiddies under the age of 12 allowed? I think I'd prefer that. Less risk and more happiness.

I think another 9 year contact at this point is unlikely. But you never know...

If he has a good run with injury he might only need another five or six years.

I suggested everyone reconvene this Friday so we could do a reenactment for Kenny who couldn't attend last Friday. I'd be up for it!

Come on Bangalore, I’ve been waiting all night for you to say another 9 year deal takes Buddy to Tom Brady’s age

Did Tony Lockett get his 1000th goal, 1300th goal and 1360th goal game balls?

I saw a video of when Dunstall kicked his 1,000th goal and the crowd response then was pitiful compared to last Friday for Buddy. In fairness, that event occurred at the old Carrara ground on the Gold Coast - hardly the Mecca for football!

I won’t post it here as links from the SMH always seem to screw up threads, but there is cracker of a piece in the Herald today featuring Chad and Florent - from the spot up kick, to the scenes of chaos, to how they ended up outside. Hilarious from start to finish, right down to Ramps joining a picnic on the wing for a bit of a meat pie and Horse’s wife joining the stampede after a few lolly waters.

Here's a link via twitter, so hopefully that doesn't bugger up the thread

Aren't quarterbacks kind of like outside mids? ie stand around outside the pack waiting for someone else to give them the ball then
they get all the glory for passing it up the field to one of their guys who has got loose and doesn't have anyone on him. It doesn't
look that hard to me. No wonder Brady can still do it in his mid 40s. The Budster actually has to run occasionally.

Great article, I wish we could hear from everyone. Bet Horse’s wife wasn’t expecting her story to be recounted to the papers!

Though reading about a few people falling, I feel that we're very lucky that we seem to have got out of it, without some serious crush injuries.

By way of contrast, this is Dunstall's 1,000th goal, at a barely recognisable Gabba in 1994.
