I thought the same thing all last year, but I guess he plays a role a lot of players Longmire doesn't think can?
TBH I'm suprised Buddy is playing after the 2 6 day turn arounds, especially after the extra drain fighting the crowds would of been last weekComment

Are we taking a risk with Buddy? Two 6 day games and the flight to Melbourne.
When do people think Buddy will get his game off?
I like Mills on Bont. Mills got on top of Danger by being dangerous himself. Mills got a lot of ball linking up with the backline and Danger let him have that space. Something good always happens with the ball in Mills hands.
Be interested to see if Bont mans Mills up when the Swans are coming out of the backline.Comment

Selection wise, while tennis may have lost the 'Barty Party' we have regained the 'Amartey Party'.....so let's see what he can do this time after doing well against the Dogs last year. Hopefully Logan finds some form and confidence in the two's.Last edited by stevoswan; 30 March 2022, 08:19 PM.Comment

I'm a big fan of Amartey. Moves well, great leap, good hands and a nice kick. He could be anything. The first quarter he played against Footscray was impressive and he deserves his opportunity.Comment

You lot say i have RB on the brain .Comment

I'm going to the game tomorrow night. It should be a beauty like the game against them last season. We played really well that night!Comment

I'm lucky to have been to both games this year and did wonder if McDonald would be the one to go, haven't seen too much from him at all. He's a work in progress and I hope he progresses well.Comment

He had a quiet game, most probably reflective of his injury interrupted preseason. For me, Squizzy was our BOG and Gould played his best game for us yet. Roberts was our best newbie over the 4 quarters although Warner had an excellent first half before fading a little as the game went on.Comment

I like him too and thought he was very decent against Footscray. McDonald is a key future plank, but he needs to start having an impact in the reserves and forcing his case a bit imho. With the contract in place for him, we can give him some time to grow in reserves too and build confidence. Has been on the peripheral at best in the two games so far this season. Happy with Amartey getting a chance."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

It will be a tough match because the Dogs will be desperate (0-3 doesn't leave you nicely placed), but with the Buddy 1000 out of the way, I think we will see a good renewed focus from the boys on the elements that really have been working well so far in the first 2 rounds. But always a tough team to play against, and we know they'll be doing their best to have the assistants in their back pockets too...."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Lets hope your predictions match some of the efforts last season. Remember vividly how we were going to get slaughtered in Rd 1 and the world was falling in already off the back of selections before we belted the lions.
