McInerney will come back in to the starting 22 if he passes the fitness test.

Sheldrick to be omitted or promoted to the starting 22.

Papley will probably not be back in this week.

    Possible changes:
    * In: McInerney
    * Out: Sheldrick (to get a run in the seconds)
    * Medi-sub: Anyone who needs a rest after 2 rounds

If McInerney doesn't pass the fitness test:

No change. Sheldrick to starting 22, anyone who needs a rest after 2 rounds to medi-sub.

Mitch Cleary on Twitter: "Lance Franklin has joined teammates in Melbourne off back-to-back six-day breaks.
But a key forward teammate didn’t join him.

        This is confirmed.

Logan will be fine. He's a young KPP who'll have ups and downs, so no worries. I'd personally keep McLean up forward given their defence struggles against big bodies, and use Amartey as a second ruck. I think he's a bit better at the ruck role than Hayden anyway, and Hayden's a slightly better forward.

So who exactly is the dead weight, TB? Most seem to be playing fine to me. McDonald needs to regroup in the Twos. The only other one I can see that is struggling a little is Wicks.

We're interstate so taking plenty of back up just in case. Ladhams ruck/KPF, Ronke and Bell, one of those two to be medi sub

Who are reserves playing and where?

Can’t really comprehend Bell being anywhere remotely close to the 22

I agree. We have had two very even performances. Young players might be inconsistent, but no clear 'dead weights'. Bulldogs are still favourites IMO - playing at home, desperate for a win, with a couple of good ins with Naughton & Bailey. But I expect us to be right in this.

Please don't ask. I for one am pretty sick of the diatribe. It wouldn't matter if the player who shall go unnamed (lest we wake the troll) got 50 touches, 10 goals and laid as many tackles. It still wouldn't satisfy one poster.

Not best 22, but typically 30-odd players get a game during the course of the season, so Bell will probably feature at some point. And he is young enough to still improve.

Good choice. I think having Amartey and Hayden in the forward line who can both leap and take marks at the highest point would be helpful against the dogs

Agree with mills looking after Bont in the middle and Rampe to do the job when he drifts forward. He is likely to play more forward with his injury and their lack of forward craft.

Their midfield is strong and skilful and it would be interesting to see who goes to cover Bailey Smith McRae and Dunkley.

It would be good if Stephens can match and run after Bailey Smith. He needs to try and be like him overall, physical, hard runner and get the confidence in his kicking.

Josh Kennedy on the wing is not going to be fast enough. Not sure where he will play.

Agreed the actual performance by that player on the field along with his fairly impressive stats are irrelevant to that poster. It almost seems personal.

Back to the team the reports from the VFL game last week indicated that Joel had a pretty good game and his inclusion doesn’t weaken our side at all. Logan will benefit from a run at that level to hopefully get a few touch’s and shots at goal.
We play the stadium by the docks very well and beat them there last year and the Swans hold a 5-2 record over the Dogs there over the last few years.
Swans by 19 Isaac to continue his form with four goals this week get on him for the Brownlow
