I suspect the four and starting sub are likely. One curiousity: have we named Bud because we’re obliged to if we want to play him, given he still likely has to get through a full training session?'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

I think they will play Kennedy but not Wicks. Agree with the other three.Comment

Yep- Campbell, Gulden, Kennedy and Rompe.
Makes most sense, with Stephens as med sub, or Sammy.
Really, Sammy should be in the team but as mentioned I can’t see Joey as med sub 2 weeks in a row. Furthermore, he should not be ever moved to the twos, though they’re not playing this week. This is his last year- we can surely play him off the bench!Comment

As I wrote above, Kennedy only plays if another mid goes out. Kennedy for Bell (or Wicks) makes no sense in team structure terms: Kennedy cannot play the pressure forward role. Conceivably he could pinch-hit as a medium/tall forward, but is depth behind Bud, Logan, McLean, Reid, Amartey, Ladhams. And who of the back half misses to get him in? Lloyd? Campbell? Blakey?
There is no room in the team, with the game we now play, to have Kennedy, Parker, Mills and Rowbottom in the same 22. And, notwithstanding the protestations of our colleague TB, Rowbottom is thriving and cannot, will not miss. Kennedy gets a game if Parker is managed.
Harsh, but that's the way it goes. If we want to win, we cannot allow team selection to be driven by noble sentiment.Comment

Hear what you’re saying O’Reilly Boy, but I think Joey can be on the bench and come in when Parker, Mills and Rowie need a rest- especially in the last quarter when players tire a bit and his lack of pace is not so obvious. As I wrote above, Kennedy only plays if another mid goes out. I'd like to see Reid stay in the team. He hasn't done anything wrong since coming back into the team and provides a strong marking option going forward. And since there is reluctance to use McLean in the ruck Ladhams needs Reid as a backup ... unless Joey can ruck?
