Lloyd's decision making tonight has been ordinary. Made a dreadful decision late in the 3rd to blow what should have been a clear shot on goal.

Just has had a poor night at the office for mine.

We really don't like rushing the ball through do we?

Seems like our defenders have been instructed to punch the ball instead of mark.

Agree that Papley should have played in the VFL. He is not match fit.

                  Seriously.

We are being outplayed by arguably the 2nd best team in the comp by a reasonable margin at this point.

We have a lot to work on but we aren't that far away.

Rational and sensible viewpoint and I think you are on the money. Learning experience and I can guarantee that after last year the Lions were going to come out with a point to prove.
Cracka was going to tear up his membership a couple of years back so he isn’t exactly a supporter who sees any positives or potential upside.

                          My positives from the game:

                          Buddy
                          Mills
Heeney - who got into it late

                          Warner and Parker

EDIT - Ladhams was pretty good

So we lost by 4 goals but we gave away some silly goals and missed some chances against a top team. A learning experience and we kept on coming as a good team does.

Disappointing result, but can take some positives out of it too.

Yes some of it was buddy magic, but we saw periods in the second half where we were able to score quickly against a very good defensive side. That is a really good sign for mine.

A mature, very good footy team were too good today for a team arguably about 4 years behind them in the development cycle. Disappointing result but the fight to not give up after a terrible 2nd quarter, and give it a pretty decent crack in the second half was pleasing to see.

We are still in many ways a developing and maturing team. Yes we beat the lions last year but we caught them cold in Rd 1 too.

Oh and if I never have to listen to that combination of commentators on a game again, I wouldn't be displeased. That speed bloke loves the sound of his own voice, Lynch is okay, and then Jack Riewoldt clearly is as green as they come and had done very little background reading before being involved. Spent most of the game talking utter crap.

I think this game and others - especially against the Demons, shows we need two ACTUAL ruckmen.

Hickey and Ladhams could be quite a tandem. Hickey 75% ruck - Ladhams 75% foward.
