We've lost two games and seventeen percent in the last two weeks. What a frickin' nightmare.

Apart from the obvious 50m penalty that was missed at the end, I thought GC were unlucky not to get more free kicks paid their way.Comment

Thanks guys. I don’t think I’ll watch the replay; it could be very painful! Sounds like the Suns may be one of our woodoo sides…..Comment

Our worst performances, are usually when we come off two six day breaks, as was the case today. Not sure why that is? If it's physically exhausting to play games in quick succession, then you'd think there would be a lighter training schedule? Hopefully, we bounce back next week.
I thought our best players were in defence, especially Paddy McCartin.Comment

Suns often had two men on our most dangerous - Buddy and Heeney. Worked a treat.
Our ball movement often ran into the opposition, who seemed to manage their own ball movement very well, thank you very much, while they hassled the accuracy to oblivion for our blokes.
And we consistently botched the ball up.
I won't say any more about the umpires' inconsistency. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Yes he did, but Healy was insisting Kennedy was on him.Comment

Hayward. Blew his few opportunities. Gave away dumb free kicks.
Ronke. Can’t remember if he played today.
McLean. 1 good grab but not much else. Too slow and dopey to have much impact beyond that.
McDonald. Still just a kid. Hope to see some improvement one day.
Buddy. Some defenders just make him look old.
Heeney. Been off the boil for a while now.
But overall, not a game when i can blame the forwards. The scattering of entries were very poor and intercept marks were frustratingly plentiful. But still - we just bombed it in as not much energy up front to provide options.Comment

Not entirely sure about that, but I recall Wakelin of Collingwood referring to Lockett on his return from unretirement as having "angry old man syndrome"
Buddy can on some recent occasions (even last week) look a bit like he is suffering from the same syndrome. Gave lots of free kicks away today.Comment

I have to admit I only saw Collins on Buddy, sure they supported him, but didn't in any way look like double marking to me.Comment

GC had their main training session on Wednesday. We had ours on Thursday. Both last played on Sunday. GC looked full of energy. We were lethargic. I think we should be doing what they're doing.
And why do we keep kicking the ball in the air when we are being relentlessly beaten in the air. Try something else. Kick it along the ground. Make them work to get the turnover. We just kept handing the ball back to them on a silver platter.Comment

Lloyd should never take the kick outs. Blakey and Campbell can reach the centre with a bullet. I think teams allow Lloyd to kick the short one to the back pocket where we get locked in.Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment
