Honestly TB you are your own worst enemy! If fans complain about the level of noise interfering with their game experience, can’t you just accept it? It may not affect your support of the team but it obviously annoys some and therefore the club has to do something about it. Simply shouldn’t be ignored as the supporters make the club, not the other way around.

My opinion , wont be popular im sure, but i thought going to the game was about supporting the team ? Not about chit chat with friends ? Every player who pulls on the jumper deserves our respect and our support and for the FANS to be behind them . But a bit of music scares people off ? Cmon
I’m convinced that you were a player.
If you admit to that, everyone one on this forum will get back in their boxes and back you.Comment

Just thought I'd chuck this here - I got the below response from the Club a few weeks ago. Says not much, so I have just send them a follow up to see what they're doing re the music.
More people should email if this is a concern - [email protected]
Oh and to the serial thread-hijacker - don't bother telling me what I should and shouldn't be doing or caring about at the footy, and don't bother responding to this.

Dear xx,
Thanks for your email and apologies with the delay in getting back to you on this.
I've sent this feedback to the right area for you, we do get feedback sometimes regarding the music within the stadium which we on send to the right people so they can alter this.
We’ll continue to collect feedback through the next few weeks and we hope the music can add to the match day experience for the majority of our members.
Thanks for getting in touch and thanks for your support to the footy club.

By the way, socialising at the footy was part of the fun.

For health reasons I haven’t attended any matches since before the pandemic [emoji22] but have maintained my reserved seat membership. I received an emailed AFL survey questionnaire a couple of weeks ago re attendance at matches. Did others on here receive it? My guess is that it was targeted at members who haven’t been attending and that non-attendance is of some concern AFL- wide.
Anyway, for the question on reason for non-attendance, I ticked the Covid box AND wrote in the ‘other reasons’ box a scathing note about the music. My seat is in the Brewongle and the sound up there is excruciating.
We also filled out the survey, and let them know what we think.

The only game I have attended this year was the first one at the Olympic stadium (such a good night!). I don't remember any music at all.Comment

We have suffered under your endless, repetitive, despicable and ill informed denigration on one particualer player that "pulls on the jumper" for almost 2 bloody years.
Frankly, given the it's hard no to to see the similarities between your comments and the mindless noise genrerated by the speakers at the SCG - both have the effect of making fans go elsewhare. I'm pretty sure this post is gong to be deleted by the mods' but I've just about had enough.Comment

A bit of music it isn’t; I actually had ear pain for over 36 hours after the Geelong game. It was my own stupid fault, though. Last year I wore earplugs and noise-cancelling headphones to make the games less excruciating, but forgot them in my excitement at finally getting to the footy again. Anyway, I value my hearing, so no, won’t be subjecting myself to that any time soon.
By the way, socialising at the footy was part of the fun.

I was at the Brisbane game watching in the Members' Stand. I must say that the sound level in that location is not a problem, I could easily chat to my friend but still enjoy the music too. So, it seems the noise level is much worse elsewhere in the ground?Comment
