If they decide to go with only one ruck I'd like to see Reid come in, he's a much better target for the kick-down-the-line.
2nd game. They played together against the bombers. They were so-so then.

I understand why you'd want Reid back as he's a mobile contested mark, but we know what we get with Reid - he's never been a game breaker. I'd like to see Amartey have a 3-4 game crack at it to show us what he can do, I think he looks athletic around the ground as a ruck and inventive as a KPF.

I thought Amartey-Party had a bit of a breakout year last year, so was disappointed not to see more of him this year. Although I think he seriously underperformed in the Doggies game before he got dropped. I'd certainly prefer to see him over Reid if we drop one of Hickey-Ladhams.

I'm also expecting to see RB back.

And somewhat agnostic about what's happening with our small lockdown defenders - whether its COR or Fox or Gould or who-ever?

If there's any way to replace Bell with someone else, I'm all for that too.

Not sure why people are keen to jump off Ladhams so soon. He's young (for a ruckman) and shows a bit around he ground as well. Sure he'll be inconsistent (and was ordinary last week but wasn't Robinson Crusoe there), and it'll probably take he and Hickey (and the team) time to fully gel, but he's our ruckman for the foreseeable future and it's important to get games into him.

Plus, he does have a bit of mongrel about him and it'd be good if that shows a bit more this week against the Tigers.

I noticed Peter has had some heavy strapping on his leg, perhaps still not 100% from the injury he had earlier in the season but needed out there while Hickey recovers from his own injury??

Good point NeonB. Still, would like Amartey in for 3-4 weeks to assess. We know Ladhams will most likely be our main ruckman in the near future so we need to find a potential partner. There is Stretch of course!

I also know a lot of blokes don't get the final game they deserve (though I still smile at the way Nick Smith and Heath Grundy got to be part of the big farewell with McVeigh and Jack).

I love how everyone is so keen to lay the boots into Ladhams, he's been OK so far with an interrupted pre season

Perhaps he's been instructed to stay away from the ball by Horse like other players on the team??

                      Ladhams has to stay

                      Rowy Stephens Amartey
                      Kennedy Wicks Bell

                      COR the Sub
                      Campbell to start

Play an additional tall Amartey is agile enough as was Logan on the weekend

Thinks that’s one tall too many (up forward). And we need to retain Wicks for now. He played a blinder against the Tigers last year.

I would love to see Amartey in the side. Just not sure at whose expense.

                        Otherwise agree

If Richmond employ a small forwards strategy looking at our less than impressive work to defend the forward 50 entries last week and poor ground ball defence, we may be too tall in the backline. Does that mean we will switch either Tom or Paddy to the forward line? I like Rampe Reiwoldt matchup and Paddy to rove and do intercept job. But who is Tom going to mind? We can put Campbell behind the ball and play Tom elsewhere.

Hey TB, Why would you "be marched to the gallows" for quoting Horse has said that Rowy coming straight back?

All it shows is how valued the coach's opinions are, and how much more realistic.
