It's almost like saying, if someone has the slightest go at Chad, you have a licence to totally denigrate RB. The scales are more than a tad unbalanced here.
So are some of the opinions ????

I read them and came to the same conclusion....and I'm still hearing whinging. How mature is it to be always complaining about others demeanour ...and judging them on it? Move on and let the debate take it's natural course. It's a forum.....for everyone.

Different players R&R. I’m happy for both to play upfront, as they are both major goal threats but can see that occasionally Paps can play midfield due to his speed and ability to get a free for high tackle. Your point otherwise is a good one- but if we need additional help at centre bounces etc I’d rather play Paps there. Just my opinion!
Furthermore, Heeney is a great mark and usually a more reliable kick for goal.

It reminded me of the women of Australia trying to get Morrison to listen. And he was like that for most of the game. He generally piped up about controversial decisions or the high free kick count, when we got a free, but was remarkably silent, when a soft or non-existent free was paid to Richmond. Utterly insufferable.
Brian Taylor has the maturity of a 15 year old schoolboy. Cannot for the life of me see how Channel 7 sees him as an asset. If I'm watching a game and he's commentating, I turn the volume down.

Brian Taylor started his career at Richmond, though he's better known for his time at Collingwood. It certainly sounded like he was barracking for them.

When his nephew received a free kick late in the game, in Richmond's defence, for a head high tackle we got an "eek - lots of free kicks", despite it being an obvious and clear cut free. Club ties seem stronger to him than family ones - not that either should affect how he calls a game.

Didn't we deny him access to our rooms a few years ago when he wanted to do one of his riveting and insightful Roaming Brian segments? He spat the dummy over that and doesn't seem to have liked us since. Speaking for myself, the feeling's mutual. He never grew up and is an embarrassment.

Was there a Roaming Brian segment on Friday night? I watch via Foxtel so am spared the pantomime of C7's post game coverage. I just have to live with the guilt.

He's just a part of the football industry. They are so focussed on maintaining their click count that they focus on writing/commentating in an ingratiating manner on any story/club that results in the greatest number of clicks. Parochialism is also an important part of that, look how far it took the former PM. I'm not sure such self editing is even conscious now, it's just such an ingrained patter of behaviour/mode of thinking. The corollary is that actual journalism/research is a non payer, and is therefore becoming extinct.

I think there's also a possibility that the umpires are similarly affected by this zietgeist, which might explain why the Swans have been on the wrong side of the free kick count for decades.

Brian Taylor would make a great umpire. I think people would go to a game just to see Brian in action. If the game is going to be a farce, let's make it an entertaining farce.

We’ve had a fair dig at Cotchin in defending Franklin tonight
He ate more cheese, than time allowed

I don't know why the preoccupation with the commentators. Makes no difference to the result. I just treat it as background noise. Imagine broadcasting a game without commentary. A radio broadcast without game callers would be a hoot.

What would you rather hear, the game commentary or the loud music at the SCG? One could be the foreground noise and the other background noise.

                              Game commentary every time.

I thought it was only malicious and vindictive. Andrew Woods is way over the top.
