We seem to have tightened up the man-on-man. Very good for a change, should be more of it.
Why are other sides better than us at marking the ball?He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Yep - far from a lost cause of course. We tidy up our ball use and we should win comfortably, if we come home like we have in general in Q3/Q4 this year. But got to cut some sloppiness out of the game, and use the ball better going into the forward line.

I want to like him and see him do well, but just can't see what he brings to the team in the role he is playing. Not too composed under pressure either for mine."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Too much looking for cheap, easy disposals. Got some at the start - but we failed to adjust when they picked up the intensity. The good news is we average, and they played as well as they could, and we’re only four points down.
We need to get a few of our runners like Ollie, Blakey and McInerney into it a bit more, and our forwards need to move around a bit more rather than just saying kick it to me.
We’re very lucky to be this close, tbh.
Please stop bombing it. Never works for us (unless sam is up there taking grabs). Need more energy & options up front - but also entries need more thought.
Port looking like a finals team. We are not.Comment

Yes, but we don’t have great depth in small forwards or defenders. Part of our list build still to sort.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Should be able to run over them in the second half. Just need to kick a bit straighter, up the pressure around the ball and run them off their feet with outside spread.Comment

There's so much to fix up with the Swans. Tom McCartin needs to cover Marshall. Rampe can't do it. We need to spread the field more and clear out the forward line. We are playing too much into the congestion. We leave too much space open defensively around 40 out from goal, a problem we have had all year. It's too easy for opposition to lead into that space and also makes for too many of our players going for the same ball in the air.
I don't know why the coaches haven't worked on these problems, or at least it's not apparent, because it's the same old story every week.Comment

Jake Lloyd we do not pay you $400-500,000/year to kick to opponents. This is 1/match this year.
As for the forwards. You are paid, paid very well, to kick goals. Lance, I know you have been out for a while but the ball is supposed to go through the two big white posts not the big one and little one.
