Beat Melbourne, lose to Port, beat St Kilda, lose to Essendon. Extremely embarrassing for the club and even more frustrating for our fans. Bloody nightmare stuff. I'm sick of it!
I don't know if I even want us to play finals this year...we'll just be making up the numbers- no chance at all...so disappointing particularly after that win against Melbourne. I wonder if it is time to look at the coach...we've had years of 'almost' 'maybe' glimmers of hope and then disappointing thrashings.

To be fair, inaccurate kicking was to blame for this loss. Not much Horse can do about that.
Truly dismal performance, any time a team comes with real heat the team capitulates in an utterly embarrassing way. Its great we have a of wonderful kicks but at the cost of grunt in the midfield, why did we let George Hewitt go?
Again Heeney does very littel suggestions he is one of the elite are way off the mark, he is an absolute downhill skier.
Although Buddy's play deserves another year from a development perspective we are better off without him, we are nowhere near close to a Premiership and would be better focusing on getting the forward line right in the next few years. If Buddy wants another year elsewhere I wish him well.
We must bring in a grunt midfielder.
We have been totally mislead by performances against the top teams who werent playing well at the time.
Excellent question- I guess the popular answer would be that with young players comes inconsistency, but I don't know whether that is an adequate explanation..It would be great to hear what the people here suggest.
This game exposed the truth about the team...they aren't finals ready. They are about 8 or 9 on the ladder. Disappointing because last year seemed like it was the year that would catapault the Swans to the top four. At times, they have been brilliant. But they played with fire TOO many times...how many games did they mount a comeback to escape by the skin of their teeth? 3 or 4? Eventually, we all knew it would catch up to them. There is a good young core...something to build upon. Maybe give Buddy a rest next game. Hate to say it, and I know he was hurt, but it may also be time to give Papley what he wanted two years ago and a trip to Melbourne. I believe this team will be top four in 2024... and hopefully they learn from adversity. But I am starting to see 2022 with them at number 9 on that ladder.
Bit of goal kicking practice due this week perhaps? So many gettable shots that we missed, and Essendon took theirs. That's pretty much the difference, and shows if you're just a bit off on any one aspect, any opposition can win on the day.
