Same. It had minimal effect on the result, but Saints fans have every reason to be livid after that absolute series of howlers.

And while they have relaxed the enforcement of the dissent rule, and made it a better rule in the process, there's still a fundamental problem. That is: the decisions that are most likely to attract demonstrative dissent, are the absolute howlers. So, the team that have been obviously and wrongly penalised, are then likely to be further penalised by being marched 50 metres. And it would be even worse, if the original penalty was the result of some flagrant staging.

I'm getting tempted to go for Essendon against Brisbane. While I might feel a bit unclean, ladder positions make it sensible. And with all the outs for Brisbane, the upset should be a big chance.

"A bit unclean" - that is a profound understatement Deja. It's equivalent of suggesting a threesome with your grandparents.

Well, mine are long dead, so I suppose that translates to cheering on Hawthorn.

Early days but Bombers all over Brisbane at the moment yet not showing it on the scoreboard.

If the Bombers can keep this up then its certainly a great result for us. Too bad North could not hang on yesterday against the evil Pies.

Classic commentators curse from Alastair Lynch.
"Hugely underrated, Oscar McInerney. He never misses these".

And I did enjoy his earlier comment, when he caught the ball while sitting on the sideline, "That's my first possession since my second last game."

Can’t believe I’d ever find myself cheering an Essendon goal. :!)

Yes, but he rapidly corrected himself.

Didn't quite cheer, but it’s nice that Brisbane are now very catchable.

Coincidentally, 34-0 was the same quarter time score as when we played them. Although, we got to 50, before they got their first goal.

Eagles right back in it just before half time.
