Unfortunately the Blues are running away with it in the last quarter. 42 pts up now midway through.
Round 17: the other games. Oh groan, we're in a bunfight.

Good point, JK. The more shocking thing, perhaps, is that Essendon have put in so many poor performances in other games this year.Comment

Yep, they’re crap. But they actually outscored Carlton in the middle 2 quarters. Unfortunately, didn’t score a single point in either the first or the last. …& we think we’re inconsistent. ;PComment

The other thing today about a game we have in two weeks is the Hawks ran a seriously hard and physical tag on The Rat, and he melted.
When we get him in two weeks, someone needs to sacrifice their game to make his life a misery.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Clarke could just be the player to do it.Comment

As much as I would rather see Carlton stay on the bottom I think they are a real threat for the flag. With Curnow and McKay dominant forwards teams have to shut down their talented midfield.Comment

The Tiges must be one of the few teams with a worse record against Gold Coast than us. I remember the Karmichael Hunt goal scored after the siren against RFC at least as well as I do this one by Anderson.
Incidentally, what's the story between Clarko and Bombers fans? Titus makes a dig about it in his latest column but I'm not sure what he's referencing. It's quite relevant because Essendon have got to be one of the teams in the hunt for Clarko. All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

As someone who's quite keen to see the Suns overcome the Gold Coast sporting graveyard, one thing that gratified me about the comeback, was the large number of deliriously happy kids around the ground. You'd think that with that intense emotional experience, many of them will now be firmly bonded to the club. Which will only help to grow the fan base. What with them pestering their parents to go to the next match and telling their friends how great it was.Comment

Gold Coast have re-signed Stew. Clarko says he wants to coach a possible contender. So that takes North out. Which leaves (of the
teams currently being discussed).... GWS.Comment
