I think Stevens has been very solid since returning to the senior team. He's not been amongst the top handful of players on the ground, but that's not what we need from him right now. We just need him to be as solid as he has been.

He just needs to hit the scoreboard every now and then and I think he's a lock to stay in.
Next week it may be Dawson and that will be very sweet if he can shut the filthy traitor down!

Just quietly the yet to be hanging Chad has turned out to be a miracle piece of drafting.
When you draft a player like that, or Goodes, that low in the draft, i hate to say it but there has to be an element of luck, surely?
I can’t believe he’s playing for us. He’s exactly the player we’ve been crying out for.
It’s such a good time to be Swans supporterComment

Chad is performing ar our level that has absolutely astounded me.
To think that he had more impact than Fyfe is incredible.
I must say the ability to switch tempo and move between contested and uncontested footy was great to watch last night.
Execution against a seriously dangerous team on the road was beyond my expectation.
Wins against top teams helps self belief in our team and we have racked these up this season.
My concern though is when dont have the game on our terms are our key defenders as good as the top teams key defenders?
It feels we are a little off the pace in this regard ie when Freeo were sending through missiles we couldn't contain them."be tough, only when it gets tough"

I’d say it’s less costly now.
In fact, based on the fixture of the last 5 weeks, we should finish top 4.
That is if we can stop losing games we’re favorite to win, because we’ll start favorites in all 5 games.

Sunday morning and I’m recalling Paddy McCartin’s superb tackle on the boundary at a critical point late in the final quarter that stopped dead another forward drive inside 50 by Freo.Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment

Well that was great - so much swearing in our house in the first half but we should know by now that the Swans being down by 30-30 early on does not mean game over.
Whilst Reid, Hickey, Amartey and Franklin all made contributions it really was our mids and small/ medium forwards that won that. Errol, Chad, Callum, Luke, Will, Isaac, Tom etc.
Thought Rampe (and as many have noted Fox) were very good across the game. Less flashy game perhaps from Paddy but still hugely importantComment

Also, anyone else think Heeneys carrying an injury? Seems to be hobbling a fair bit between plays or after being tackledLast edited by longmile; 17 July 2022, 09:47 AM.Comment

That was a different game from Isaac last night, but boy his skills are so good.
There were three or four goals we kick, where his assist were built on clean hands and balance that are unmatched and potentially don’t get kicked otherwise. The Amarty goal in the first came from a ridiculous pick up on the run, then the pocket of space he found on the boundary in the third before Paps snap, and his scramble and clean hands for Warners goal. Plus nailing that tackle on Walker before the ball gets centred for Paps crumb in the fourth.
His goal kicking was a bit off, though he did nail the one that mattered in the fourth quarter, but we’re lucky to have him.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment
