Bloody hell. Great finish by Elliot. How does he even mark that? Surely they’ve spent all their get out of jail tickets?

Strangely, in that nine in a row, the only two wins that were convincing, were 26 points away to Fremantle and 36 points against Melbourne.

Plus pies play Port, Melbourne, and Carlton besides us. None of those are gimmes and even wins against the Dees and Carlton could help us.

Absolutely, choking tigers, power and now bombers means we’re still in 6th spot at the end of the round. Bugger. Reel out the cliches … but our season is in our hands if we’re good enough to take it.

It pretty much is still in our own hands...you'll find there's enough teams above us playing each other to let us go past one or 2 of them not Geelong but one or 2 of the other 3 and as for Collingwood we can give them that close loss they need when we go past them on the ladder second last round..look forward to being there for that one

One thing that I'm vaguely curious about. A couple of weeks ago, I was thinking that I hadn't seen Ray Chamberlain umpiring for a while. I don't think he's umpired since, but a quick google couldn't find any stories of him being injured, dropped or quitting. Does anyone know why perhaps the highest profile umpire, now appears to have no profile? Not that I'm missing him.

Is it just me or did Jamie Elliott look like he played on after the siren? Like he ran out to his right side.

It wasn't just you ... I thought that but I haven't seen the replay and of course for a Victorian team they don't bother with such controversies. They just let it go..woe behold a team from another state

Hmmm. Or maybe he was just some sort of elaborate trolling exercise?

I had also noticed that he hadn't been umpiring recently. Earlier in the year I used to hear him on SEN where he had a segment every second week with Gerard Whately. (Not sure if he still does it). I heard him say he had a hip injury so maybe he is still suffering from that.
