He has been a mighty player for us and I'm sure he has something left in the tank but not at the expense of the balance of the team.

Great performance by many players today. Fox and Stephens both did well.

The one who was the least effective today I thought was McInerney.

25 touches at 76% efficiency ! His job is to win it on the outside and run and carry , he did that . He is a star !

Yes and no. I say this as a massive fan. His second half was excellent. His first was ????

A few fumbles though and less meters gained than Florent who had 13 disposals. I am not saying he isn't a star, I just thought other players had more impact.

                Wasn’t that Callum Sinclair?

Good day out. Not quite the smashing I thought it might be after the first quarter, but a solid enough win. The Crows were never going to lie down and take 3 more quarters like that, and they're a bit better than the ladder position suggests. But they were always going to be playing catch-up after the first.

Feels like quite a stable team setup just now: the players who came in a few weeks ago (Clarke, Amartey, Stephens, Fox) all still going well, good to see. I thought Fox was very good again, and Stephens has got the confidence that comes from a run of games. Amartey doesn't get a heap of stats but does good things when he does get the ball, he's a good contested mark, a reliable goal kick and today we saw some quick decision making at ground-level too. Ten players with 20+ disposals today, lots of contributors.

A few game highlights: Blakey's high mark, Blakey's goal-saving tackle and a rare piece of sublime tap-work from Buddy - I had a great view of that one, he barely looked at Hayward, knew exactly where he was.

I did have a brief moment of melancholy watching Dawson kicking long down the ground, but then reminded myself that we have other good field kicks, not least one P McCartin.

                        So 4 left...all quite winnable...exciting weeks ahead.

I still can not worked out who we drop for Kennedy? Maybe Ollie Florent or Mcinerney? Tough call. But 37 disposals in those conditions is impressive.
                          .

So Joey comes in next week, as seems likely. Who gets the flick from today's team?

Like for like in the midfield it should be Rowbottom. It has happened before! But is Rowbottom now an important cog in the midfield wheel?

If half-back, Fox or Florent. Fox is accustomed to being relegated to make way for others! Florent is the only other possibility there if Fox stays in.

Then there is Amartey who is not secure up forward but if Hickey is still hobbling and Ladhams is not ready to take his place next week, Amartey is a useful back up for Hickey and Reid in the ruck, as he was today.

The place of Stephens in the team, like Amartey is vulnerable. However, if the coaches believe he is going to be an important player at the Swans in the future, right now is probably not a good time to relegate him.

If not Stephens then McInerney probably plays a similar role and I agree with Maltopia that some of his game today was somewhat underwhelming.

There is of course one more player under consideration, that is Clarke. Like Fox he has a history of being in and out of the team and like Fox he seems to be able bounce back and fit in as required.

I am so glad I am not a selector!

Only place Kennedy can really play is inside mid. So we’d have to drop one of those or rotate them fwd or back. As it is Mills is playing off the wing at centre bounces.

                              RB 26 touches 8 tackles 8 clearances … isn’t getting dropped

I hope they stick with that side again although Hickey’s form / health is a worry.

Kennedy is not coming into the side unless we have an injury or choose to discontinue the tagging role of Clarke. He is most likely to be the sub, a role he is well suited for at this stage of his career.

PS for rojo: Kennedy is not most like Rowbottom, but rather most like Parker. Rowbottom has a primary focus on defence, while Kennedy is primarily a contested ball winner and offensive player.
