Not sure you're watching on TV but you can hear on the mic's the ump saying he wasn't under sufficient pressure which is what the free as awarded for.

Ridiculously harsh call on Paddy there for that gift goal to the pies.

Those last 2 goals have just kept them in it. We've been the better team all game so far, but still they are far too close for comfort, especially given their ability to win games they really shouldn't.

Reid and McDonald need a goal this quarter. 2 key forwards not offering much in the way of scoreboard pressure! That's another piece of the puzzle we need to add heading into Finals. Come on boys, don't let yourselves down and go on and win the one well! We've been the far better side all day!

Ahh. The umpire was talking about a mark.

Paddy takes the mark, plays on, is pressured, so concedes a behind by crossing the line. A free is paid against him.

So, the free was for taking a mark then turning around and conceding a behind for no reason? Perhaps the ump missed that he was under pressure? Is this what happened? So confusing.

What a pathetic free that was to the Pies.....they can only kick umpire assisted goals at the moment. Played on, under pressure, walks it through....as he is allowed to. Not today.....
