Umps just won’t pay a free to Giants. Goal review took goal from GWS a joke! Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

Ah this time of year I always think who’s got more to play for? Nothing to motivate the Plastics.
But wouldn’t have minded if they’d won.
Really hoping Blues get up over the Pies snuffing out the Dogs and the SaintsComment

If we're good enough, two home finals will not be necessary. We didn't need two home finals in 2005."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Yeah the season is in our own hands. Other results cannot be relied on. Would be nice though to occasionally get a favour from another team. Over to Carlton (and then most likely over to us!)Comment

GWS has a seriously dark few years ahead of it.
There about to lose a lot of outstanding young talent because they’ve got three good to very good players in Whitfield, Coniglio and Kelly each on close to a million bucks a year. But none are anywhere near elite any more, and have years to run on their contracts. The idea they’re paid more than Toby Greene or Sam Taylor is nuts.
Their best players from their peak like Haynes are fading fast and some of their recent high picks like Ash just ain’t developing that well.
I didn’t think much of Cameron as a coach and Yze’s pedigree suggests he may be better.
But if they were serious about fixing their list and their salary cap, they’d ship off one or two of the totally overpaid duds, not their young talent.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Why couldn't we playing West Coast this round?? That extra percentage would be handy.
Couldn't believe the score last night. The late goals in the North game may come back to bite us.
I was trying to be optimistic that GWS might cause an upset but their fitness levels are really bad. The umpiring didn't help either.Comment

I don’t think it’s entirely fair to blame GWS for paying overs to retain high end talent given the annual feasting on their list that happens without COLA.
I actually thought McVeigh had some interesting things to say about their need to focus less on drafting “talent” and more on developing players inside the club.
I don’t share others hatred of the Giants and think it would be good for AFL in Sydney if they can become half as good a club as the Swans.Comment

Watching the Tigers and Bombers, two things stand out:
* the Bombers have no two way runners. The amount of times you see Bombers players happy to charge forward, but unwilling to get above a jog back, is just damning.
* Jobe Watson and Luke Darcy on the one broadcast is seriously Clockwork Orange eye clamp scene level painful.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Will say that was truly lovely of Richmond players to join in the celebration of Hurley’s goal.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

I posed this question on another forum.
When was the last time a team, already inside the top 8, needed to win their last 7 games to make the top 4?
That has to be a very rare occurrence. It shows how insanely tight this race is and how consistent the teams around us have been.

Maybe they need to do a Collingwood and pay for one or more of them to play somewhere else.

Surely we can grow a second strong team here in a similar sized city .Comment
